Mindfulness Sunday’s are free. Plenty of parking, shaded koi ponds, guided walking meditation, vegetarian lunch, and dharma talks. Beautiful trails!

Amazing place and experience. Don’t be worried about being inexperienced or it being too hardcore. They are very welcoming and there are just a few rules to follow. Just come prepared to be involved. FYI Verizon gets ok service here, not that you should be using your phone :)

I believe the only day open to general public is Sundays..
Deer Park is usually open to visitors Sunday 8-4. Check the website first because sometimes it varies.
If you are staying in a dorm, then we have air conditioning. As does the meditation hall. We expect the weather to be in the 90s, although on the last day it is expected to be over 100-degrees.
Years ago I tried making changes to a reservation and ended up just donating the money to them.

The monastery is not open to the public on Saturday. We ask day visitors to kindly visit us on available Days of Mindfulness, which can be found on our website calendar. Normally this will be in a Sunday. All are welcome.
Hey friend it varies it's best to go on the website to see you can also go on mindful days they are free and it's a one day event
