I will give this store a 3 because one of the girls I spoke to over the phone from the store was rude. I was trying to explain to her my situation and she kept cutting me off and told me to just listen. However I spoke to someone else and they were very nice. The customer service 1(888) number is a different story. Best Buy customer service over the phone is a nightmare. I waited forever to get someone on the phone and when I finally did he put me on hold for almost 2 hours and finally hung up. I would have hung but I didn't on purpose. I know their game. When they don't want to help you, they purposely keep you waiting long enough until you hang up or until the store closes so they don't have to help you and it won't look like they hung up on you. I would not deal with Best Buy for this reason alone. They need better customer service

Some calls go to the call center but you can reach the store if you need to.
I work in retail sometimes it gets to be real busy and you have a customer and somebody else waiting the phone rings you answered and say can you hold please the customer that you're helping at that moment takes a long time lot of questions so it sort of ties your hands on getting back on the phone and of course the customer waiting is not so happy that there were there first before the call what I do is get their number and call them back but I make sure that I do call them back so please forgive us if we don't get to you right away and as a consumer I hate waiting on the phone but I also understand that these people have driven to the store to get the service also from the associate or salesperson you're right we should be quicker to answer questions on the phone but real life it doesn't happen often I don't know what the solution will be but that's something manager needs to think about

Cheaper to buy a new one. Don't know how much they charge. But, Frys charges $50 to tell yo, Oh.. nothing we can do, you need to buy a replacement.
E bay or Amazon no doubt you can find it there
If you paid with a best buy card it gets refunded faster,but anyother card usually takes 5 buisness days,but if you started the return on a wednesday ,weekends dont count and it would start on the next day thursday ,so it would be over 7 days
