Make sure they read you what they will charge you if they decide they don't want to spayed or neuter your animal. Asked to speak to the manager (after the receptionist went back to speak with the manager) and was told "she isnt available and if I you dont pay your bill today, it will be sent to collections." Terrible and untransparent customer service. I recommend finding a small business veterinarian and getting service from them and not feeding these large corporate Banfield veterinarian clinics.

We have been going to the Petsmart close to 8 years to buy our dog and cat food. We would also using the grooming services and the Banfield Medical services. I have 6 insurances with them for our 3 dogs and 3 cats. We have had to put 2 of our dogs to sleep in the last month. It has been very difficult. What was the response by Banfield? My daughter took in dog yesterday because it seemed in a lot of pain and could not go over 2 inch barrier at bottom of a gate. They recommended we put the dog down because of the pain she had and there really was no way of helping her. My daughter made the call, was distraught and crying. She left after it happened. She did not pay the bill, she forgot in her condition but was going back the next day. We pay over 40 dollars EACH for the SIX animal insurances we have with them. They have my credit card on record. Instead of waiting to see if she would come back the next day, they called us and told us to pay the bill immediately or they will send our bill to collections! Has got to be the biggest JACKASS move I have experience from a business. I wanted to talk to the manager and the very young girl basically shook her head and said sorry with a cavalier attitude of oops. No, I will find out who called and why they said that, or this is our policy and you have to contact corporate, nothing. I hope the thousands of dollars they will lose over the years in the future was worth the money they made today. One word comes to my mind; PATHETIC. UPDATE AUGUST 20 2019. Email to corporate; I just recieved a call from Banfield office in Upland because of a complaint I wrote in a review. I guess your company sent it back to the Upland location to contact me and reach out. Well the person/manager? reached out. I did not think it was possible to upset me more than what I felt on how they reacted to the original situation, but god bless her, she managed to really piss me off. Her first statement out of the box was she was there to "resolve" the complaint. There is nothing to resolve. I was not looking for anything. If a customer tells you they want nothing from you but to be aware of their complaint and make sure it does not happen again, then trying to justify what you did by pointing out that you really did nothing wrong is plain STUPID. It accomplishes nothing. Your representative instead made half truth statements that was infuriating me and just kept plowing thru it, as I was getting more agitated, and wanted to know why I was talking over her. Well because she was talking over me. Claim#1-She (manager?) claimed that they called and told my wife that she could come in the next day to pay. FACT; I got the call and they told me at that time they would "wait" until tomorrow for payment. Claim#2-I stated they had my credit card on file. She responded that it was not possible for your company to charge my credit card because it was only for the SIX insurances because the credit card company would not do that. Fact; I made it clear that she was wrong, I told her if we had not paid, they indeed could charge me and if we disputed it, Banfield would simply send in the bills to prove it was a legitimate charge and they would have honored it. That is when she then changed her story that it was YOUR system that did not allow that. She then tried to imply I was a sexist for calling the supervisor a young girl. My bad, I should said person, I was upset, but, NO, my statement was that someone YOUNG could not have the same experience as a person who had worked there longer, and also would have acquired LIFE experiences that would help them. Cheap shot, and nothing more that deflection by cheapening the real harm that women experience on our society. Bottom line, very defensive, finger pointing experience from her and all I wanted is to either be left alone or just, "hey we screwed up and we will use this as a training tool", I can accept that because it would have been the TRUTH.

My cat passed away almost 2 weeks ago and I took her to banfield. I paid to have her ashes and was told I will get a call in a week to pick her ashes up. So this past Wednesday came no call I called Thursday evening and I was told "oh well her ashes aren't back you need to wait another week". I am sorry you should tell a customer one thing and get a different answer a week later. This was my cat who died young and unexpected. I just want her home :(

What is an Optimum Wellness Plan?

Banfield Pet Hospital | Aug 31, 2020

Optimum Wellness Plans are designed to provide annual preventive care. They include head-to-tail exams, vaccines, early screening diagnostics, consultations for proper nutrition, dental care and more! Since wellness plans are not insurance, they do not include treatment for unpredictable or abnormal conditions, however discounts would apply. Because pets need ongoing preventive care, wellness plans automatically renew at the end of each twelve month period (unless paid in full at enrollment).
