I took a large group of people and we all had a great time feeding the fish and turtles in the pond and learning about nature. The woman was very friendly and knowledgeable.

This is a lovely spot to hike! Trails are easy and well cared for. Lots of birds to see even in the winter. Plus, the little museum and shop is super cute.

While I had stopped in the parking lot before, I had never walked inside. I was surprised when my husband and I walked in and were surrounded by the sights and sounds of nature... birds, different animal pelts (all were victims of unsatisfactory meetings with motor vehicles), and the informative history of a tree trunk. The bees were busy in their hive and the fish and turtles could be seen looking for a snack from kind folks that dropped on by. A place to think and reflect. Many hiking trails. Just don't forget your bug spray!

Oxley had numerous trails that connect and can be walked to do short under a mile walks, to as long of hikes as a person would want. Trails are wide enough in some spots to support groups, and also typically wide enough to allow bikes to pass with ease. Depending on the trail of choice, you are likely to pass multiple ponds/lakes, and can stroll the trail by the river.

Yes the are.
I believe, also, that dogs, even mellow ones, have behavior, or even a scent that can disturb & stress wildlife. It's just natural. There are so many other places dogs are allowed, I don't believe sanctuaries not allowing dogs are an issue. Also, it's too difficult to trust owners to always clean up poop. Even spraying dog urine can be distressing to some creatures & can damage or kill plants. Wild animals have more natural food sources, thus less environmentally safer urine & feces. The motto is leave the area as you found it, or better. Hope this helps.
Not really. I suppose if you had one meant for jogging (with the bigger three tires) it might be okay. Otherwise I would not take a stroller on the trails.
Go to the front desk an talk to the lady's there
There is no admission fee for the center. The park charges an entrance fee on weekends $2 i think Members get free admission to the park.
No fishing allowed at Oxley Nature Center, but you can fish at Mohawk Park.
