Well, they could have charged me a second time for the same thing but they didn't. They told me what to do (again) and reassured me everything would be okay. I was so so so incredibly careful and I STILL don't know how he got into my stuff again. They gave ZERO judgment while they gave him back to us as well. I felt like the worst pet parent and they told us that they'd seen worse from worse people basically. I used to think they were just for profit and didn't care.....a (literally) thousand percent change in my opinion. Not just because of this either. Also because of the first time I took my dog in to them and also because of when I took my last 2 cats into them too. I still have one of those 2 kitties and it is because of them. It might be expensive but they really are trying and they really do care. I could tell another story from when I went therr with my pup the 1st time but thisnis already too long, lol! there and they'll do what they can with compassion, care & love.

It's sad to see other people bringing down this place's rating not understanding that, while it is unfortunate, these emergencies are quite expensive and there are of course many animals this facility deals with, so the wait may be long! I had an admittedly frustratingly long wait every time I had to take my dog over the course of the week before Christmas, but that's just how it is, it's unavoidable. They saved my dog's life. It was very expensive, but so would going to a human doctor be if you didn't have insurance! They communicated extremely frequently, giving updates on my dog's well being over the two nights she stayed. They set her up with an appointment at a vet up in Portland to get her the CT scan she needed, which I wouldn't have been able to get if not for these guys! They also took much better care of her, seemed to genuinely like her and what they do, and were all very nice. Yes, the wait times and the prices are unfortunate. But it's what you'll get anywhere. What you won't get anywhere is good, genuine people who you know will care for your animal. This is one of those places, for sure. I'm sitting on the couch next to my adorably sleepy husky because this vet was very on top of it and very good at their jobs. Thank you guys so so much for what you do!

Amanda who received our baby dog last night was so caring and compassionate. She shared with us she held our dog the whole time and helped monitor her. She had empathy because something similar had happed to her dog. I’ve heard stories of people having to wait many hours to be seen and we luckily were seen almost immediately. Our dog ate something outside and was toxic. One of the scariest experiences but we are so grateful for the care of the nurses and vets here. I feel like they really listened to our concerns and were able to provide comfort and advice all while knowing how incredibly important this little dog’s life is to us.

Fortunately I have only had to use the emergency vet twice so far and both times the staff has been very kind and their advice has been good. Even though the first time I saw them I had to have my iguana put to sleep many years ago. I’d had her for 12 years and was heartbroken. They were so kind even though I’m sure most people would say she was just a lizard. This time they saw my cat who has a really bad limp but no sign of injury. I had an appointment with my regular vet but not for another week and my cat wasn’t putting any weight on the leg. The vet told me that they could do an X-ray but that she didn’t feel like there was anything broken and she wanted to help save me some unnecessary expenditures. I appreciated that very much. With some good advice and some pain meds they sent me in my way. He’s usually an outdoor cat but vets orders, he must stay in for awhile! He’s settling right in

Our dog had to be euthanized unexpectedly as well. The doctor and her assistant were awesome! They walked us through everything. Our dog wasn't well and they did everything they could to help. The only bad experience we had there was the woman working the front desk area. She was quite rude.
Do you go to hospital for free? No
Exam includes a nose-tail evaluation of your pets critical care needs and consultation with one of our emergency Veterinarians is $125.
Not sure what the question is exactly but if you can go to an actual vet I would suggest it. Not only does this place cost a little more but you will be lucky to get out in less than 6 hours.
No.
I doubt they’ll help you and less you pay them upfront we took our kitten in thinking that she might have ingested a really and without giving them $1222 they would not treat her which consisted of an IV to keep her hydrated and a blood test to check her kidneys after a day and a half we took her home because she was fine they owed us $300 back and we still haven’t received it I find that odd when they want 1200 in the middle of the night on a weekend yet it takes them I don’t know how long to give us back our money
