Campground is a little rough around the edges but very pretty area.

Great location, but not as well maintained as it was 10-15 years ago. Still great especially if you are accustomed to primitive camping. There was no water during our stay, not sure if that's permanent or temporary. Be aware that you will not have cell service of any kind in the campground. Also, local mom and pop stores close at 5 and Sundays so try to come well-prepared.

The camp sites seem like they've seen better days, and the bathroom door wouldn't shut all the way so I couldn't lock it. As far as the beauty, the lake was gorgeous & the waterfall at the dam was unbelievable! We only went on one trail, the interpretive one.

Without Google Map and a good friend I would have never found it. Amazing as I lived in Arkansas, not 40 miles away. The water was cool, the park well kept, the bathrooms stocked and reasonably clean. We stuck to the little stream, but if you walk up a little, previous visitors have built little dams, allowing the water to rise and giving you a place to just sit, stay cool and enjoy the beautiful surroundings.

Timothy Todd, Ronald Norris is correct. There is not a concrete ramp, but you can easily back a flat bottom boat down into the water using the designated ramp area... Mr. Norris is also correct about the use of trolling motors.
No, canoes are not available for rent from the State Park. You could perhaps rent from some of the rental providers at Glenwood where they run the Cossatot, but I cannot guarantee you that this is an option.
Bathhouses were closed when I went last month. Road is real bad depending on your route.
Definitely! We went there for that exact reason.
There are working showers, but the water is not heated.
