We came here to get out of the wind on Lake Sylvie. Louis and Kevin helped us beyond what would be expected. They showed us how to use the strongest pump out I have seen in 25 years and assisted us at the wall. We are on the North side versus the preferable South but there were no more slips available and we are well settled. Its a busy marina with strong tidal currents so be prepared with lots of traffic.

Homeless people sleeping on the docks, some will board your boat looking for things to steal. Lot's of heavy commercial traffic. Other vessels speeding in the no wake zone.

It's 24 hours but most activity is done by 12 midnight for families. Nice restaurants along the water. Love this place for fashion shoot photos, a picnic, or shuttling around on the water in the water taxis. First sundays there's a free jazz event. BYOBlanket!

Yes, but don't. There is a very large homeless population here that is quite aggressive. They sleep right on the river in the bushes. We often woke up to see them defacating in shopping bags just feet from our boat. They will demand money and food frequently and you will definitely fear for the safety of your vessel when you leave it. Been sailing all over the Caribbean now for over a year and Ft. Lauderdale is by far the worst place we can even imagine. We were even in Haiti during the recent unrest and felt far safer and happier there. If you have to be in South Florida to live aboard at least go up to Palm Beach and stay on lake worth. Much better.
Yes. We have a CT-56 with 70' mast and it fits just fine. Bridges are bascule between the docks and the Atlantic.
