Just tried to go to this location at 9:30 on a Friday night. We called ahead of time to see if we could get in and if they were doing the 1/2 price apps and got a yes answer to both. We walked in and no one was waiting and there was 9 tables seated in the entire place. All other tables were clean and ready for service. The hostess/manager told us it would be a 15-20 minute wait because "I am giving my wait staff a chance to catch up" Catch up with what? No before you start the "Be Nice, the world is short staffed!" I have worked every position that you can in a restaurant for years and that was decades ago. Guess what, We were always short staffed. Someone quit, someone no-showed, someone was sick. Always will be short staffed in those places. I turned around and left and went home to eat. If I was wait staff I would be upset that I am not getting tables sat to me and able to turn those tables in a timely manner so that I could make more money, not getting caught up.

So I’m a little frustrated after my recent visit to Applebees. Walking in you could tell they’re short staffed, so I wanted to be patient because I get how hard that is. But, when I ordered my meal (combo meal) technically an app- I received 10 wings. When bringing this up to my waitress she said she’d check what happened. She ended up saying she never wrote it done & after that quickly walked away. I hadn’t touched the wings yet because I thought the solution would’ve been for her to take the wings and get the meal I intended on eating. But, every time the waitress came by she didn’t really talk to our table, and she was in a rush to do other tasks. My fiancé and I ended up getting charged for the wings and I never got the meal I wanted. I typically love this restaurant, so it’s supper disappointing that I had a bad experience.

I had and still have high hopes for this restaurant. But every time I dine in, we sit for 15-20 min before we’re greeted by a server. In a seemingly empty restaurant. I have tried to give the benefit of the doubt. But each time, my family sits with no server, we’re greeted hastily and rushed through our order, as we sit waiting other tables are greeted quickly and warmly. One young man was so course with us, never even greeted us, after waiting for 10 min he literally slammed the silverware on the table then said, “are you ready?” But then a coworker or friend was sat in his section and he spent all of his time talking with her about work and weekend plans. He greeted all of his other tables warmly and quickly. Same thing happened tonight, we waited 20 min for our server, although she was kind it’s hard to overlook how all her other tables were greeted within moments of being sat. In the past we have been courteous and respectful, tip 20% so I don’t think I’m on the bad tipper list. Please talk with your servers about equal treatment, don’t assume from what you see that your tip will be subpar so you give subpar service.

Okay, I have to say that this was my best dining experience in a long time because we had the BEST WAITRESS- Somebody needs to give ZAKARI G. a raise because she's phenomenal! Met up with a old time friend (we've know each other for 22+ years) to eat dinner and catch up and we were literally at the restaurant talking for like 4 hours. Zakari was attentive and so sweet the whole time- she had great food recommendations (the molten lava cake for dessert that she thought we would like was delicious 😋). I cannot say enough good about her and the food- thank you for making our night so memorable and we will 100% aak for your section next time we come.
