Another fine example of wasted tax funds. American citizens experience the misdirected wrath of uncle Sam and big brother once again. Border patrol and homeland security are confused about their duties. Instead of securing our homeland at points of entry or patrolling our poorly designed borders they prefer getting us to forfeit our bag ging get harassed and interagated

When the check point is open, yes. Pretty much any vehicle and every passenger in it is subject to investigation if the border patrol agent suspect that there is something off.
Their activity is ramdom. You never know when they are going to be there.
