Dr Jeff Anshel is an excellent eye doctor and really wonderful person. I was so glad to be his neighbour and eye patient while in Encinitas.

We've been using Dr Anshel for years and trust him completely! He speaks publicly WORLDWIDE and literally wrote the book on eye care/nutrition. (Ask him, he'll tell you all about it!) We are lucky to have such an experienced professional here in Encinitas.... I trust him with all of our eyes...

Extremely rude and unfriendly front desk person. Doctor wanted to change my perscription to lower even though I have been the same for 16 years. I tried the new lower perscription for a week and had terrible head aches. I went back to my old perscription and returned again to inquire. I was then charged for two exams, even though the second was a result of the doctor's mistake. I came back for another, what was supposed to be brief, appointment to pick up contact lenses and the doctor had just taken another patient. Apparently this office double books patients. I will not be returning and suggest you not waste your time. I have to stress how rude the front desk woman was. When I asked about the doctor having just taken a patient at the time of my appointment, she responded by saying she once waited two hours for her doctor. This is not reassuring. An eye doctor and a medical doctor are not comparable in this case. When I left because I couldn't wait any longer due to work, I told her I would be calling to get my script sent over to a different eye doctor. To this she responded threateningly that he hadn't yet written it and he had to see me for this follow up in order to do so. After already paying for two exam fees out of pocket and now waiting to not be seen by the doctor, she had the audacity to tell me that if I didn't stay he would not write the prescription. In that case, it is worth it to me to pay for another exam fee at a competent doctor than continue with behavior like this from what is supposed to be a professional office.

Dr. Anshel has been taking care of my eyes for decades. He found a very difficult to diagnose low pressure glaucoma and it is now under control. I can always find glasses that I like. I can highly recommend Dr. Anshel for all your eye care needs.

Clip ons are usually matched to the frame shape, so we can add them to a new pair of glasses but can't stock "generic" clip ons.
It often depends on the features you want; for example, anti-reflective coatings often take an extra day or so. In general, we say 5-7 working days for most prescriptions.
