My wife and I hired SM-designbuild to do a whole kitchen remodel in our home. It involved tearing the kitchen down to the studs, moving and reconfiguring a couple of walls and installing a new cabinetry footprint. SM-design build took us from the concept phase, through the architecture planning and drawings and all the way through construction. We are very happy with the finished product that was delivered. All the construction was top notch quality with an attention to detail that you won't normally find. We had a few minor bumps along the way (as to be expected in a large remodel). My wife and I both work from home and lived in the house during the remodel, SM-design build went the extra mile to ensure the noise, dust, and mess were kept to a minimum so that we could continue to work. We never charge for the entire project up front, and we never force a client to agree to the whole project all at once. We want everyone involved to be comfortable. We typically break our projects into 5 phases: 1. Pre-design/Feasibility 2. Schematic Design (floorplans and elevations) 3. Interior Design and Systems Design 4. Construction Documents and Building Permits 5. Final Contract Pricing and Construction

We will guide you through the AdU design process and create a plan that suits your budget.
ADU is short for Accessory Dwelling Unit. ADUs are attached or stand-alone structures that are also called guest homes, accessory apartments, secondary suites or granny flats. An ADU can house additional family members or you can build an ADU to rent out for additional income.
