I was in need of advice on two separate legal issues. I was referred to Mike Sands. Mike spend a considerable amount of time listing to my concerns and gave me some great advice on how to handle these issuse. Since our initial conversation Mr. Sands has been a valuable resource to my issues. I would recommend Mr Sands and Husker Law to anyone that is in need of legal representation when it comes to Divorce and Bankruptcy. Thanks Mike!!!!!!

Wish I could give 0 stars. As other reviewers have said they are quick to take your money and provide very little service. They switched my attorney a week before court and I was charged for phone calls he never returned. I was to meet him for the first time the day of court and he was late over 35 min late and 5 minutes late to court so everything felt rushed and I felt alone as my soon to be ex spouse was calmly sitting with their attorney waiting for my attorney to even show up! It was so unfair how I’m prepared he was and his advice was ..we can always take them back to court for a more fair settlement… then he said he would contact me to sign the final papers and he NEVER did…I called and left messages and reached out to Michael Sands - who was the attorney I hired- and he said I would have to pay more money to get the divorce decree to say what I wrote out to him, I sent copies of from the military form of the language that needed to be in the decree from the very beginning of our case!! Then I find out the rreason the other attorney never called me back was because his licence was suspended. I have written letters to the Nebraska Supreme Court and Board of Ethics. Please save yourself some head ache, heart ache and money and go to an attorney who will REPRESENT you. And that is defiantly NOT Husker law!!!

I hired this firm to assist me with drating a will and other estate planning needs. I have called them many other times to assist with other legal needs. I cannot say enough good things about this firm from the attorneys to staff, top notch. Their attention to detail, professionalism, and Knowledge of law makea them a top notch firm.

After retaining Husker Law, they fail to complete my legal issue. They were unresponsive via phone calls, and emails. I had to retain other legal counsel. I would never recommend them. Mike Sands was the lawyer assigned to my case. Very unprofessional experience!

Landlord/tenant work is not currently something we actively handle. If that changes in the future, we will update this answer. Thanks for the question.

Hey Kim, sorry to hear you are having issues with trying to transfer this loan. It's hard for us to say why this would be the case without knowing more, but would it be possible for your son to get a different loan and he could use the proceeds to pay off the debt in your name?

I have a neighbor who is violating the zoning codes and the county does not seem to care or do anything about it regardless how many times I complain Can you help? Ron

I’m sure that’s frustrating. We do not practice in that specific area. I would refer you to the Omaha Bar Association’s Lawyer Referral Service to find a lawyer who may be able to assist.

My son was offered a position and there is a form to fill out for any contact with law enforcement and the outcome. My son is 17 and was 16 when this incident occurred between him and his mother and he completed diversion. How should he answer?

Michael Sands | Sep 1, 2019

Hey Glen, Good question. In Nebraska, if he completed diversion, the incident should be removed from his criminal history so he should be safe in not reporting it, but your son really should consult with an attorney first to confirm. Mike
