Employees were very friendly & helpful. My cat was spayed yesterday and is doing great!

I really enjoyed it. The atmosphere was calming and you could pet the animals and get to know them. I would totally recommend this animal shelter to someone who is looking to adopt.

They are awesome! I just moved to this area and I fell into hard times and couldn't afford any dog food and had none for my two dogs. They hooked it up with a bunch of dog food and dog bones. The staff was very helpful and friendly and even showed me locations for cheap neutering. The location is kind of hard to get to on maps because it brings you to a old rundown house trashed area with very malnourished dogs. If you keep going up the hill there is a very nice facility that they are actually at and are looking on changing locations because of this reason.

The staff was terrific in helping find solutions for some feral kittens and cats. Not only did they recommend a product to help the kittens with digestive issues they helped direct me in spaying and neutering the feral colony. The care the feral cats received from the shelter was professional and caring.

Please do call during the normal hours of 10am-5pm, the front desk will help you trough it.
Hi Luise! Our curbside vaccine clinic is open every Tuesdays and Thursdays, from 10-1 and 2-4. Our vet takes her lunch from the 1-2 time period, and all our vaccines are $20 a piece. Please give us a call at 208-746-1623 if you have any further questions.
That's what I thought too. I showed a picture to the riverview animal clinic to the lady at the front and she said that she was for sure pregnant. Would you know her far along she is looking at the picture?
Sometimes there is. But free toys, bed, leashes and collars. For dogs and cats.
Hi Rayanna! Our curbside vaccine clinic is open every Tuesday and Thursday, from 10-1 and 2-4. Our vet takes her lunch from the 1-2 time period, and all our vaccines are $20 a piece. Please give us a call at 208-746-1623 if you have any further questions.
Hi Joy! We are doing a curbside/carside clinic for our vaccines on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 10-1 and 2-4, we do go to lunch between 1 and 2 so there will be nobody available at that time. There is no need for an appointment.
Hi Valerie! Please check our website at www.lcshelter.org for the updated available animals we have at our shelter. I am not aware of any Jack Russel's or Dobermans coming through our shelter in quite a long time. Most of our animals average a 2 weeks stay here at our facility before finding their forever home. As for discounts, we do what is best for the animal and adopter, so all discounts given can vary. Feel free to give us a call at 208-746-1623 for any questions you have regarding our available animals. Have a great week!
Thank you for your interest in our spay neuter clinic. We do spay and neuter kittens that are at least 3 months and 3 pounds. The cost for a female is $75.00 with the cost of the vaccines and males are $60.00. It would be best if you called the shelter at 208-746-1623 Monday through Saturday from 10am to 5pm, to talk about scheduling and other options for help with the cost. I hope this has been of some help. We look forward to hearing from you soon. Donna Duffau Director of Operations
When you click on the web page after you search it just click on the picture button and you can do it that way, I think. That's how I do it
208-746-1623, call them and ask. Again, I do not work there.
I do not know. I do not work there. I would call them, their very kind.
Not at this time. Check the website--it's updated with any new dogs up for adoption on Wednesdays and Fridays.
It's definitely worth checking into. They will help with food etc. If they have it They are great about it usually
They open at 10am.
Yes they do sell dogs. You'll have to call them Monday to see what they currently have; as they are closed tomorrow.
There is no fee for stray dogs in the valley. We are a contractual shelter, so the surrounding municipalities have a contract with us to take in animals in their areas. Some do not allow cats to be brought in because they are not considered "Property". So it's always best to call and we can figure out if they can be brought in or not -- or we can point you in the right direction of help.
