We always have to stop in when we are in the area! Hands down the best ice cream anywhere. Try the huckleberry or the Apple cup, absolutely amazing! (Though everything is fantastic). This is also the best place to buy Cougar Gold cheese which makes a great gift and a fantastic snack.

I have not seen their ice cream at Safeway or Walmart or anywhere in town. But I did see a Ferdinand delivery truck parked at their loading dock.
Ferdinand's is open to the public Mon-Fri, 9:30am - 4:30pm. You can find their menu and prices at creamery.wsu.edu. I'm pretty sure they sell pints & quarts, but not a gallon.
Unless Ferdinand's has special hours, they're closed on Saturdays
You can ship cheese to California, but I don't think they ship ice cream. You would probably need to call and work out a special order with dry ice shipping, etc.
Local grocery stores and gourmet shops carry the cheese, and sometimes at the WSU visitors' center. But beware, the price can be more than double what you would pay at Ferdinand's. The ice cream is harder to find, though.
Ferdinand's is open Saturday Home Football Games, Mom's Weekend and Spring Graduation.
