Mostly all the employees are very nice there. On the photo side they were short handed today. Just one lady handling 2 stations. She just could not keep up that way. Not sure how that situation arose but someone there should have done something about it.

The wait was shorter than expected, clean facility, fully staffed. Best DMV experience in years!

I don't think anyone really likes going to the DMV but you'll end up there at least once every few years. At the redwood city location, one out of the three employees I interacted with was really friendly, which definitely beats the expectations for the reputation the DMV gets. I went in for a real ID after scheduling an appointment (filled out documents online). Waited for about 20 minutes before being called and then was out after another 25 minutes with my temporary ID. They said they will mail the real one to me within two weeks

It’s okay, but for the drivers test we had to wait almost 2 hours, around 1.5 hours after our scheduled time. Otherwise the people there were great

You can find information here: https://www.dmv.ca.gov/portal/dmv/detail/idinfo/idcard
Whatever is on your registration/renewal notification. There is a credit card transaction fee.
Yes. Go for it. Just keep in mind that the best chance is when you reach this place at least 45 mins before opening. I.e. reach here at least before 7:15 AM on Saturday as it opens at 8.
Yes
No if it's more than 15% tint. Cannot be driver's and front passenger window nor front windshield
Do I need an appt.to get a placard?
Walk INS go fast
In general, you need authentic documentation. Photocopies don't cut it.
Are they still doing online appointments? I might be wrong but I think due to the overwhelming amount they stopped letting you make them, you just have to show up. I went right at 8 am on a Monday and there was only a 15 min wait, so it might not be that bad.
Yes. Bring old li ense
Yes. There's just a very long line.
I do not work for DMV office but I found this link that might help (: https://www.dmv.ca.gov/portal/driver-licenses-identification-cards/real-id/how-do-i-get-a-real-id/
I'd just buy a new car bro
They are, but you have to fill out form online before you arrive. Then you show the dmv agent your confirmation number and they give you a number for line(B-7).
Bring your permit (there's a place a parent needs to sign that you've done your 50 hours of practice), the signed form saying you completed your driver's training, and vehicle registration and insurance for the car you will take the test in. The person who takes you to the DMV (parent?) also needs to show their license. You have to wear a mask and get your temperature checked. I recommend spending some time driving around the area before your test to get familiar with the streets. You'll probably have to drive on both residential and main streets, do your backup test, and park after the test.
May or may not be required . I went in for license renewal I was just asked the standard questions about address status etc but that's about it . Hope this helps
Closed on the weekend
I would contact dmv and ask before I stood in line my experience wasn't that great
Just call DMV Sacramento
I guess you cam check the DMV services on line
I have de same issue with my wife RI you need going back and complete a replacement card application, (I knew you.never got your ID)That is the way to push your original application .
Yes they do!
You cannot get a Real ID thru appointment. Just went through all tbe politics. The have extended the period until Oct 2021 to fly within the U.S.with your regular dl or id. Im going to AK next week.
No, not yet
Yes, I went there 16 June 2020. Opened 8am.
It appears they are open, but they do not want people to visit unless absolutely necessary. See the DMV website for the latest information: https://www.dmv.ca.gov/portal/dmv
Yes, if you still want to drive.
8am
If you have an appointment, you do not need to wait in the check-in line, simply walk to the front of the line and wait until the check-in person is ready for you.
Least busy day really depends on a lot of things, such as if there's a holiday coming up. The best thing to do is to show up ~40 minutes before they open and get in line, or around 1-2pm in the afternoon so you miss the lunch rush. If you don't have an appointment, expect to be here for ~2 hours.
For walk-ins, I'd suggest morning and that too at least 45 mins before the DMV opens. For appointments, it doesn't matter, you'll get over with everything within 30-45 mins if you already have an appointment.
You'll have to go at this website: http://www.courts.ca.gov/find-my-court.htm Find the court in the area where you've got ticket. Go to that court's website and then see if you have a ticket and pay/contest or whatever you want to do.
It's a problem if you want to drive when your license is expired. I would do a walk in.
Separate with commas, not line breaks
Almost all the Saturdays. Except public holidays.
Here's a helpful link: https://www.dmv.ca.gov/portal/dmv/detail/dl/checklists/id
Go to https://www.dmv.ca.gov/portal/dmv/dmv/onlinesvcs/appointment Click on "Office Visit Appointment" Select the nearest CA DMV office near you Select 1 item Select "Apply for, replace, or renew a REAL ID:" And then fill your info in Customer Information section After that click on Continue. It'll give you options of appointments. If no appointments available, you'd need to change the DMV location. You might have to do this several time if no appointments are available near you. I'd recommend to do a walk-in to DMV office near you but make sure you go there at-least 45 mins before opening up. That is around 7:15 AM. You'll get work done by 9-9:30 AM. I'm telling this from personal experience.
Driver's tests are by appointment only.
Yes! The kiosk will print your new registration and sticker on the spot!
