The park itself is great, but the campground has been starved for funds for years. We are avid RVers and visit many state park campgrounds per year. This campground suffers from years of deferred maintenance. Only the bathhouses are reasonably good. And the volunteer host who runs check-in is nice. The roads are deteriorated. Most sites are no longer level, full of holes and gulleys from rainwater. Some sites are all gravel next to the road. Many fire rings are broken, fire bricks are crumbled. Many water spigots are inoperable and covered with orange pilons. Many sites have un-usable picnic tables covered in thick moss. Pathways to the bathhouse are overgrown and washed out by rainwater We did see a ranger patrol the area perhaps once per day.

Very clean restrooms, even in the height of cicadas, none and no spiders in the restrooms! Has washing sink for dishes at the bath house (labeled laundry idk why). The fire rings and grates are awesome and easily lowered for cooking food. The picnic tables are sturdy. However they do have moss growing on the tops of them. This campground has a playground for children, which is spectacular, many others don’t!My only negative is that many of the sites are VERY small. As if you could stand in the middle and touch your tent, the fire pit, and the table. Too close for me.

My Prayer Place. Close out the world, enjoy nature. Great place for kids in Picnic area. Camping with playgronds, showers, few cabins to rent. Boat Ramp launch into the Susqehanna River. Dogs must be on leash And clean up after your animal for others.

Great place to take your kids and family camping. Most spaces are nice and roomy, but some are also quite small and right on the loop road, so make sure to check about the site. 30 amp electric hookup, water spigots spaced throughout the loop. Our site could have some more gravel on it as it was nothing but mud when it rained, luckily we have a large outdoor rug, if not it would have been miserable. Park employees and DNR was frequently making their round making it safe for the kids to roam around the loop on their bikes. Camp store is very small and not well stocked, however this was mid-October so that may have been why. Highs store is close by though for those items left at home.... Overall a very nice campground, we will definitely be back

You can wade in Deer Creek nearby or bring your horses to drive on the trails there. Not sure what Bluecat meant, but I work there
