My family and I are very greatful for this place that we pretty much called our second home for 3 months while our baby was at lpch. We would not have been able to be with him by his bedside everyday waiting for the day we would get to bring him home. Very accomodated for us cause I had my baby 2 months early so we did not have time to plan for our stay but this house found us a room in less than 2 days we were very lucky and they provided a range of helpful guides to help make arrangements or classes and even pump rentals thank you thank you so much.I dont know what my family would have done without this place.

My wife and I had the opportunity to stay at the Ronald McDonald House Stanford after the birth of our daughter. We were so lucky to get a room here as we live so far away and commuting was out of the question and getting a hotel in the area would be crazy expensive. The house offers many amenities such as free laundry facilities, full kitchen setups to use when ever needed, Continental breakfast options daily, counseling services, and so much more. The thing that could use improvement is in the staffing department. I feel that the organization of the facility could use some improvement. Overall the RMHS is a great option for families.

Kicked us out without warning because we had a little food in our room when we live 12 hours from home and our newborn baby has months more to stay at the hospital. We have been having to sleep in our car and they were incredibly rude to us and wouldn't help us in any way. They can all go to hell

Yes, your 20 year old daughter can be left in charge but she also has be registered at the front desk in order for her to get an extra key for the room. If she leaves the kids unattended there are consequences, but it's mostly your responsibility.

They will typically call you the day before if there is availability. I have called in advance to get an idea but generally it's not till the day before. I recommend calling and confirming that they have received your reservation request. Best of luck.

Hello Rick. I"m almost certain you can mail a letter to their guests. Call them and ask for the mailing address to send guests a letter.
I believe they do. I donated toys and such and they offered to write a receipt.

If you are there for an extended time the Ronald McDonald House staff provide a shuttle to Walmart and Costco once a week. Otherwise, the grocery stores are close by. Try to avoid going to the stores between 4 and 6 as the traffic in Stanford gets very thick.
You can either download the app or call in to try and make a reservation. I know they are very busy so try making your reservation as early as possible.
Its possible to get in for something like this but you have to submit a request for housing. This can be done either by going to their website or using the RMHStanford app.
