Was at an event where the food truck was today and this food was AWESOME! The best I've had in a long time. Thank you 100 Main Beef & BBQ! Great job.

Came in from out of town for hockey and decided to stop for some food before our game and we weren’t disappointed. Not sure if it was the owners working or staff but either way, they were both super welcoming and friendly the second we walked through the door. The place is clean, and the bbq was delicious. We’d definitely come back if we’re ever in the area again!

🐖 What a great lunch we had today @100mainbbq located at 7878 Idlewild road! This was the first time we’ve eaten there and it won’t be our last. We had the very tender pulled pork and then were privileged to sample their pit beef and homemade Haus Sauce. Melt in your mouth! My new favorite! They have seating indoors and outdoors, catering, a food truck and now an antique store attached to their restaurant. We had the wonderful opportunity to meet and talk with the owners, Danny and Amanda. Great folks! We truly hope you will stop by and give them a try! We highly recommend them as your next BBQ stop.

Moving to North Carolina 15 years ago from NJ I was introduced to southern barbecue. I liked it but not a huge fan of smoked meats because I don’t like to be overwhelmed with smoke flavor. I finally had an opportunity to try 100 Main Beef and BBQ right here in my own backyard. We tried the ribs, pit beef, brisket, chicken, and pork. Ordered two sides of corn bread and a side of coleslaw. Two types of barbecue sauces and horseradish mayo. We loved it! Even my son enjoyed sampling all the different dishes. Absolutely not overwhelmed by smoke flavor, seasoned/flavored very light which was perfect for me. I prefer to season my food myself and this met and exceeded expectations. Our favorites are in the following order: Brisket, ribs, pit beef, chicken and the pork. The brisket is absolutely fantastic, not dry, very tender, great flavor. I listed that first because I’ve never cooked it but when I have eaten it enjoyed it - and they did a wonderful job in my opinion! The ribs are so tender the fork pulled them off the bone. Next time we order ribs I’ll ask them to not put the extra barbecue sauce (on mine) on the ribs because, for me, was too sweet. Nit bad by any means I just prefer lighter coating. Not the case for the family - they loved it!!! The pit beef was phenomenal! I was actually thinking of sautéing onions in butter, then slathering a roll with the horseradish mayo to eat the pit beef. Really really GOOD stuff! I know, I know I’m turning BBQ into more of a Philly cheesesteak. 😁 The chicken was again, perfectly seasoned/flavored, it was not dry at all. I really enjoyed it!! In fact I’m going to have it on my salad tomorrow for lunch and my son was going to have some in a sandwich with condiments on it. I listed the pork last only because - for me - it was a little bit dry compared to the other meats. Now keep in mind I didn’t add sauces to anything, I wanted to taste the meat and how it was cooked. It was not bad by any means, very tender just not as moist when compared to the other meats, but the flavor was very good and NONE of the meats were tough or chewy by any stretch of the imagination. There was absolutely NOTHING wrong with anything we purchased. My review is based 100% on my own taste buds. Coleslaw? Loved it! It was, I believe a mayonnaise-based coleslaw. This was tasty and very fresh. The cornbread? Great!!! Was homemade, moist, very flavorful not dry at all. Yummy!! One of the barbecue sauce was, again just for me, a little too sweet and the other vinegar-based one had heat to it. I was the only one that took a pass on the sauces other than the horseradish mayonnaise which I loved. At the end of the day I highly highly recommend you give this place a try! The only other barbecue I’ve had in North Carolina was out in Locust I believe. It had such a big reputation but honestly I wasn’t a fan. 100 Main BBQ? Absolutely a fan! Definitely going to try the beans and the mac & cheese I kind of regret not test driving those as well. Customer service above par, it’s local and as fresh as you can get. I placed my order over the phone, paid over the phone, picked it up through the drive-through. The order was fast! In 20 minutes I had all my food in the car. Can’t get more contact less in our current Covid situation than that! We are actually sharing some of the barbecue with family so they can try it out. We’re fans and definitely going to be repeat customers. Oh by the way we ordered one pound of each of the meats, the ribs was a small plate/serving - highly suggest you get more than just the small order of ribs!!

Hi Kevin!! We do chop our Brisket, we dont slice it. We take out all the fat before we chop it, but if you would like some fat in it, please ask when ordering and we will be glad to!
