I went in while ago to have 3 suits tailored. I got there and the lady was really nice she put the pins in my clothes to make sure it was exactly where I wanted it to be. Once I received the suits they all were wrong, my jacket sleeves were too short and my pants legs were almost like high waters. I don’t like doing things like this but also another gentleman whom I know very well was only charged 80$ for 3 suits, I was charged almost 175 for 3 suits and she did more to his suits than mines. The experience was great as far as customer service but I felt it was very wrong to charge me almost double and then mess up all 3 suits.

Tam and the team are excellent at what they do, and more importantly, offer honest feedback based on their expertise with tailoring. I’ve brought everything from dresses to suit jackets here and they handled them beautifully, turning out items that went from the back of my closet to my daily wardrobe rotation. I the short sleeves sleeves refashioned into flared diagonally cut sleeves on a dress, and that dress has become one of my favorites! It was Tam’s idea to do that. She has also vetoed ideas and suggested I return or give up on tailoring them, which is much appreciated since it saves me cash and being stuck with an item I won’t wear. Just don’t forget your receipt when you pick up your clothes!

Have been to Khen’s many times and they are always very prompt and all my alterations have worked out nicely (pants/jeans, suit jackets, dresses). I think some of the negative reviews are related to their language barrier and how they staff. The front desk lady also does alterations and the place is often busy. I would rather have better pricing and quality work than pay for someone to just greet customers. They have lots of regular customers and do alterations for the Durham PD.

RUDE PEOPLE! NEVER GOING BACK! All the women were crowded in the back when I walked in. It was my first time so I wasn't sure what to do. No one greeted me or came to the front. I thought maybe I was supposed to go in the back? One lady said, "Go on the front." in a very cold tone. Already slightly put off, the girl doesn't even quote me a price and starts ripping into my zipper packet. I had to stop her to get the price. She barely mumbled "$13" $13 to replace a zipper? If she was friendly, I would have said yes - but because the whole experience was off-putting, I said no. Not to mention she must have not been able to read where it says "open here" before ripping into my packet. Over this place.
