Excellent location near UPenn and Drexel’s campuses and right across from both the train and underground trolley, which get you downtown quickly. Also there’s a Wawa right around the corner on Market St, which I took advantage of for breakfast each morning. The lobby felt very welcoming and although I got in at 10AM, my room was ready. The front desk staff was very responsive as well to issues that came up (e.g. an alarm clock in the room next to mine went off randomly but they got it turned off right away after I told them), although I don’t think my room was cleaned on the only full day of my stay (aside from the trash being taken out). I really enjoyed the bed—one of the most comfortable hotel beds I’ve ever slept in, and I appreciated the free coffee in the lobby each morning. Definitely staying here when I’m in Philly next.

Nice hotel. I liked the design of the lobby and the rooms where comfortable. However, the rooms have no mini fridge, which is bad for parents traveling with toddlers (no place to keep snacks!). We parked for 10$ a day in a nearby parking lot.

-no fridge (except a beat up one we found in the hallway the cleaning staff let us take in our room...yes, I'm 100% serious) -Mac couldn't connect to wifi until I took it out of my room down to the lobby. It was clear that management is aware of this problem, staff are frazzled from having to deal with it, and there is no plan to fix it. We were told that it is Apple's fault, not theirs. Like other hotels haven't figured out how to accommodate Macs. -checked us into the wrong room -no free breakfast -free morning coffee is always empty with no one around to refill Yes it's clean, and the poor management gives the staff many opportunities to be friendly. How is that adding up to an average rating of 4.6? I am baffled.

Great location. You're right on UPenn & Drexel's campus, so lots of eats around, including food trucks. The bathrooms are gorgeous. Fitness Center on the 3rd Floor. Nice quaint lounge area right in the lobby. No parking though, child. Can you believe it? You can do street parking for like $3/hr, campus parking for $24 a day (but if you leave you have to pay again & it closes at 11) or valet parking for $40. Nope. We parked on the street. Sometimes at night it was free. Idk the logistics of that. But the place was so pretty! Blackout shades, several lamps, full length mirror, big shower, closet & drawer space, desk, lounge chair, etc. Even an Anthology book in each room from The Study Hotels Writer-in-Residence program. I enjoyed my stay! (I didn't take pictures because as I'm writing this, my sister & mom are cuddled in bed & we have towels & stuff all over the bathroom lol. Sowwy 💛) EDIT: I forgot to add. Now here's an additional down point- in the bathroom, the door was frosted glass with an additional full length slit of frosted glass by the sink. The slit was anywhere from 6-10in wide. This slit can be looked into from any point in the room, except towards the headboard of the bed closest to that wall. While the frost OBSCURES an image, it doesn't actually provide full privacy. This is horrendous for a daughter staying with a dad or a mother staying with sons or any uncomfortable combination you can think of. You have no real privacy on the toilet, no privacy when getting ready before or after a shower, etc. Everyone would have to be mindful to stay put while you handle business, otherwise your business is all out there. It's pretty, but COMPLETELY impractical. Definitely an uncomfortable disruption of privacy they didn't think out well enough.

Hi Peggy, we source all our books from the Strand Book Store in NYC. We also have autographed books from local University authors.

If you are not adverse to taking public transportation to the Wells Fargo center, then it is a very short trip using the Market Frankfort Line and the Broad Street subway. 36 minute trip $2.50 on way

Where is parking for the hotel?

Hi Lisa, We have few options : - Street parking right in front of the hotel. However, you will need to move your car by 8 PM which is not ideal when you stay overnight. - Drexel or Penn parking are both public parking. It's a flat rate of $15 (Drexel) to $19 (Penn). You will have to pay twice, the day of your arrival and the next day starting at 6 AM even if you are here for just 1 or 2 hours. Please note that if you need your car throughout your stay, you will have to pay each time and both garages close early so after hours, you won't be able to park your car. Drexel parking also close to the public quite often during the school year as they run out of space quickly. - Valet Parking - $42 inclusive of taxes (22%...) for 24 hours with in and out privilege 24 hours. We will park your vehicle in a covered spot. I hope I have answered your question. Don't hesitate to reach out if you need more information Sebastien - General Manager
