This is a local institution with fun, historic decor and seasonal floral designs. You feel the history as you step through the door on to the (likely original) wood floors. The renovated back patio is wonderful for warm evenings or sunny Sunday brunches. The service is friendly, informed, and attentive. The cocktail list is inventive and interesting. Plates are intended to be family style, which makes it a bit easier to order $30 fried chicken (which comes with a breast split in 2 pieces and a thigh, coleslaw, & a couple pickles (ask for extra pickles)) -- which was, admittedly, pretty amazing and which I will definitely order again. I could quibble about wanting a slightly bigger menu, but they do what they do and they do it well.

Went at night, creepy cool vibes. Really good Whiskey, Tequila & other spirit selection. French pressed ☕️ 🔥🔥, Bread pudding🔥🔥, beef crackling. Folks in my party loved the muscles. My phone died I didn't get many pics. Check it out!!

Is patio seating dog friendly?

I wouldn't recommend it because of their kitty being there and they are serving food, peeps might be uncomfortable with a large animal about. Pretty upscale place. Just saying.

Why is it that when you make a reservation for 2 people for a birthday dinner, they seat you at a table with other people divided by plants. Not cool & rude.

It's the "family style" they promote. It's suppose to bring people together, and chat it up. This might not be the best place to go if you want a "romantic, secluded, or intimate dinner for two".

What are the Covid safety practices like here?

We are following CDC and county guidelines to keep us all safer. Tables are spaced well to maintain social distancing, staff wears masks always, guests wear masks when talking to staff and between eating and drinking, orders are taken at the front door and then guests are led to the backyard seating area in an effort to reduce contact. There are staff cleaning the dining area and helping guests find the bathrooms, order another round of food/drink etc. We have been delighted at the majority of people coming by helping make this easy on all of us by participating in these guidelines. Much love, and hope to see you soon!
