Stopped in for a bite and a few drinks while at the beach across the street. If you're chilling at the beach, this place is extremely convenient. There's a restroom and the atmosphere is really nice obviously. The food was very pleasant as well, I would say upscale dining. We enjoyed everything we tried, I appreciate it the chef special. The drinks were very good and we ended up coming back for dinner later. There is a restaurant upstairs as well that is even more upscale. We did not eat there this time but we have eaten there before and it was a wonderful view and very good food. They are in the area and you want to treat some friends, I would recommend this place. They also sporadically have live music!

The Chalet is in a great location right on the Great Highway. Upstairs, you can get a table with a very nice view of the Pacific Ocean and sunset if you time it right. This visit was for lunch with my hiking buddies. We did a walking tour of the chain of lakes in Golden Gate Park. We walked in after our hike and were led to two tables for four. The food here is very good, not exceptional, but tasty and filling. The service was good but not exceptional. The prices are high. The tables in the back offer inside or outdoor dining. No view, but a well stocked bar is not far from your table.

First off, the view of the beach is incredible, great date spot to impress a lady, especially if you get a seat by the window. I sat at the bar, the service was absolutely excellent, very polite bartender and the manager pitched in once it got busy, he thanked me for coming at the end. Food was good and their cocktails were delicious, very well made. Would definitely recommend and return.
