This entire area is officially called Snowbird Mesa by the BOR. Wide open mesa flat is very rocky and rough for walking, free boondocking, but no water, trash cans or toilets. Cell service on verizon and att was excellent, tmobile not so much. No signage posted with any rules or camping limits..but BOR info notes Oct 1 to June 1 season. Contrary to others saying this is BLM lands, that is not correct, this is Bureau of Reclamation (BOR). Seems to be a lot of larger rv snowbird types that stay for extended stays.

Canβt beat the price (Free) and the views! Great place to be when Valley of fire camp π ground is full. We pulled in around 7pm and it was easy to find a place to clear and put up a few tents for our group. Downside is the wind and rough terrain. Great place for RVs no hook ups though. You can have fires and wood can be found about 8 miles up from the site at the local grocery store. There is also a Family Dollar and A.C.E hardware besides the grocery store.

Guessing there are about 75 rigs out here. Using Google maps we took the turn it called out, but there are 3 other areas to consider if staying here. Some people venture far out on these dirt roads, others like us just put up in the main lot and call it good. Some nice big views walking around looking into the canyons, or from your rig. To the end of this main area before it drops into the canyon is about one mile. VZ 4G four bars. We're full time RVr's focused on hiking. Blog link in my bio.

Lots of FREE space available for RV parking, so you have plenty of room to get a relatively private spot. There's a lovely view of the Moapa Valley. There's decent internet access (Verizon) and lots of antenna tv stations.

It is very Rocky but you can tent camp here if you want. Camping is free here and it is very close to Overton and Lake Mead National Recreation Area and Valley of Fire. I use my Golden Access Pass to bypass Las Vegas between Arizona and Utah to get through Lake Mead for free. Weather is ok but hot in summer. I hope this helps.
Daniel, this is just an area to dry camp. No one owns it so there is no number and no fees to pay. There is no water, no restrooms. Just a place to park and stay the night, set up camp or an RV.
