This is THE PLACE to be during a summer vacation to the southern part of the Colorado River! $10 per night + friendly camp host + some sites are next to the water so you can fish/dip your feet in/kayak in the marshes/watch jet-skis and speedboats race by! So much I could ramble on about π

Beautiful, quiet, clean, peaceful! Lots of shade & sun. The river is majestic, there's birds, ducks, burros, hummingbirds & bats in the evening. Gorgeous sunrises. We'll definitely be back.

Great place for dry camping! Host is very kind and generous! Check in time is 2pm, check out is 11am. Generator can run from 6am to 10pm! There is a vault toilet. Bbq grill on each site, access to the beach. Would definitely come back here!

It may be great, if you're in an RV, but if you're tent camping, you should go to the other side of the river! The wild burros will (not may, but absolutely will) harass you, especially if you have dogs. They don't like dogs. However, you can not harass the burros back because it is against the law. No matter how close they get to trampling on your head as you sleep. You are not allowed to chase them off.

hay sheryl are you staying thereβ can you answer your question for us ... quartzsite in the ROCKS ya can't have a camp fire for fear of burning rocks
Some spaces were 1st come but others were by reservation on Recreation.gov. you can call 877 444 6777 to also get resv. Cell service isn't the best.
Found Sundance RV Resort, about one mile past Crossroads, towards the dam. $15 for dump/water. You get a key at the office before the resort.
You mostly have to reserve now
