Our Personal Care Assistants and caregivers can assist with all Activities of Daily Living (ADLs). Our services are non-medical and include help with personal care such as bathing, showering and getting dressed, preparing meals, light housekeeping, mobility and transportation to appointments. Caregivers also provide meaningful companionship, conversation, monitoring, and medication reminders.
Visiting Angels is a private pay home care agency, meaning that families pay for our services out of pocket. This also means that programs like Medicaid and Medicare do not cover the costs of our services. Fortunately, many long-term care insurance policies do cover the cost of our services. Many older adults purchase a long-term care insurance policy in their 50s and 60s. Check with your loved one to see if they have this type of policy in place as it can make in-home care much more affordable. Of course, our care coordinators are more than happy to discuss making our services affordable, including tailoring your loved one’s care plan to include the services they truly need so there are no unnecessary expenses.
