Please take the name seriously: Richmond True Value Hardware is true to its name. Extremely friendly and reasonable staff that will always go the extra mile to service a customer. Couldn't be happier to work with this team on a regular basis. To provide a few examples: they've delivered spontaneous orders on the same day I've placed them, they loaded up my vehicle with paint when I had a minor injury, and have delivered materials over an hour away just for the sake of helping out a client. Thank you again!

I came in here clueless as to what materials I would need for a project. Dennis was extremely helpful and knew his stuff. My project came out better than I expected and I Beleive it is due to the copious amounts of knowledge he had in regard to value and making sure I understood everything there was to know. Way better than home depot considering things are easy to find and the employees actually take time to help you.

We stopped in here when our Thule bike rack broke on the middle of Rt 3. All we needed was a simple screw and bolt to fix the poorly designed part that had failed, but making the repair required trying out different sized screws and the use of tools, and it all had to be done outside on our car. The very friendly and eager to help high-school aged employee who assisted us let us take multiple parts outside and lent us the use of the store's tools so that we could see what we needed to make the repair before we made any purchases. In the end the sum total of the parts we bought was less than a dollar, but that friendly and trusting employee saved our trip from a potential nightmare. If we lived locally then their excellent service would have earned them lifetime customers, but unfortunately the best we can do in return is post this review and hope that others will patronize this good old fashioned friendly hardware store.
