Alvin Hollis is awesome! I've used them for years, but that doesn't mean I don't also competitively shop their estimates. In this case, it was for an AC Condenser replacement - they were $4k less than the next estimate - FOR THE SAME equipment. Jimmy was so responsive, gave me an accurate timeline to do the work and his team was spectacular during the install. You can't ask for anything more from a business!

Jim and his team were nothing short of amazing! Professional, knowledgeable and efficient. We had a new system improperly installed by a different company with lots of complicated issues. So we called Alvin Hollis to come out and assess what the problems were. Alvin Hollis recently replaced my 21 year old central air conditioning system. This was a great experience. Their engineer came to the house to look at the existing installation, discussed with me some additional items I wanted done such as the installation of smart thermostats, and created a detailed quote that itemized all of the items we discussed. One of my requirements was that the work be completed before the summer air conditioning season began. The installation was done in April, well before I needed the system to be running. The three person installation group, which included an electrician, was knowledgeable and careful not to damage the house as they were carrying heavy components up to the attic. The system is running well. While it is a similar system to the original, the new one is much quieter, does a better job of cooling the house than the original system did even when it was new, and is more energy efficient. The work was completed on time and on budget. No surprises. Well done.

To that end we routinely check the tanks for safety and efficiency. We almost consider it a conflict of interest to service tanks for other suppliers. For the purpose of safety, liability and efficiency, we believe all oil delivery vendors should monitor, service and replace their customers’ oil tanks as needed. As far as choosing Alvin Hollis as your oil supplier: our quality of personnel, service, equipment, training and financial stability are verifiable and compelling advantages. Our oil delivery customers rely on us to deliver automatically. Unless instructed otherwise, we schedule deliveries when tanks are one quarter full. We use an advanced system to determine when to deliver oil to each of our customers. Our system factors in weather conditions using a 'degree day' system and our customers' preferences. It generally takes us three deliveries to determine a new customer's usage. To be safe we suggest you ask your oil delivery technician to show you how to read the gauge on your oil tank. If you need assistance before your next delivery, call our office between 8 AM and 4:30 PM.

Yes, there are water softening systems available for private homes. Unfortunately we don't install them. I already had an operational Superstore hot water tank connected to the boiler loop... so I only paid for the boiler installation.
