I will never go back to this place! So many ticks on us after the walk. At least 10 on both myself and my dog. NOTE: STILL COUNTING ! :(

Hopeland Trail is an easy hike at a little over a mile. There are multiple little trails and a pond as well as a picnic spot if you go far enough. The trails are a bit overgrown though and it can be hard to see holes through the thick grass. So watch your feet. There is one trail in particular that is devoted to the Hopeland Fairies with little fairy houses along it and even a mailbox for kids to write them messages. On a suspended string the fairies have clipped some of the letters with their responses. It's pretty great.

When this was sudo private/ public land it was nice not running into other people. Now that this is a town park, I have met some very nice folks since it has become town park. My concern is that this area does contain an active tick population. So folks need to be aware of them. Second, there is pollution in the creek that no one's seems to want to talk to.. You can see the foam ugly brown floating down stream. Then it builds up in the Eddie's. If my dogs drink this water they quickly get the runs. So be aware of that concern. The wild life is there so be quiet and look for it.

Very nice quiet place. Very easy hike, more like a walk through fields and wooded areas. Lots of pretty wild flowers in bloom
