Rangers are friendly, park is clean. This park has ample parking, spots, water, and a mess kitchenette. Has cross country trails, easy trails and more experienced trails. Has a lake where you can swim and rent canoes and kayaks. Each spot has a fire pit and a pic nik table at the least :) Had pretty strict dog leash rules, which is nice.

Beautiful park full of amazing hikes, quiet camp sites, waterfront beach and boat launch, and lots of waterfalls and streams to explore.

A very pretty state park! We hiked the north peak trail - definitely recommend bringing poles. It is doable without, but it is steep. Very nice views and it is always fun to look across the way and see bits of Canada! The lake is also very pretty.

Was very nice and clean. It has it all, hiking, picnic area, water, or just take a walk. Dogs must be on leashes which was fine. They enjoyed themselves!

Last year they had 3 or 4 sites with water and electric.
The dogs are allowed on trails, on a leash. However dogs are not allowed in the beach area.
We were just up there and there is swimming though the kids complained about leeches. Kayaks are not available for rent through the state park due to covid but they have a local who is willing to rent kayaks to campers. Just ask the park ranger

"Generators may be used between the hours of 8:00 a.m. and 8 p.m. as long as they do not bother other visitors." From this site https://www.maine.gov/dacf/parks/park_passes_fees_rules/park_rules.shtml
