Didn’t expect much but due to there being maintenance our room was upgraded to a twin suite, which was big, kitchenette, large living room and big bathroom. There was a karaoke one night but in our room we heard nothing. Lovely receptionist who was kindness itself

My worst experience at a hotel ever. Checked on Friday..room was dirty, sheet (only 1) was also dirty. My girlfriend went to report to front desk and was given sheets in a plastic bag for us to use? Surface areas were dirty..room had not been cleaned. Totally unacceptable! My girlfriend went to have a shower and there were hairs on the towels…that was the last straw! We went to front desk and were met by a receptionist who was crying about her missing cat. There was cat food on the counter and we were interrupted several times by strangers giving the receptionist updates on possible cat sightings in the hotel. Receptionist assured me that she had voided our room charge and refunded my credit card..giving me a receipt that showed a zero balance. The receptionist then showed us pictures of her cat should we encounter it in the parking lot as we were leaving. This was a bizarre encounter no matter how one would look at it ! On checking my cc statement we were charged for 1 nights stay…I have sent a dispute to the credit card company on this one.

This was a most memorable experience. I loved the charm in the furnishings, the location is perfect, and the staff were the best I've met. Kammie and Jaime at the lobby were super friendly to me! They answered all of my questions and concerns. That sports bar is grand, and their "Olde Gaol" tavern is a must-visit. The pool was so relaxing. I had a big-screen TV in my room, handy mini-fridge, and a cute microwave. I loved it there. These people care. They were very responsive to my requests. The housekeepers were kind and respectful. Big plus for the free 24 hour on-site laundry. Thank you so much!

Recently stayed here on business. Unfortunately, booking the room was the only pleasant part. I called the hotel directly and booked a king size non-smoking room a few weeks ahead of my stay. I arrived to town early and called the hotel at around noon to ask if my room might be ready. I was told check in is 3:00pm. I said I understand but sometimes rooms are ready early and I was told I could drive there to find out. I asked why I couldn’t just be told over the phone and the response changed immediately to annoyed and said our check in time is 3. That evening when I got to the hotel for check in, I was told they put me in a king size smoking room, I objected and said I would never have booked smoking as it bothers my breathing. I was told it was all they had. I took it as it was late and I just wanted to sleep. The whole hotel stunk of smoke, the hallways were not clean, there were candy wrappers and cigarette butts on the floor in the hallways. There were also over half a dozen large kitchen sized trash bags in the halls full of trash that sat out all night. The stink of smoke in my room was terrible. The room itself was clean enough, but very outdated. The only thing modern was the TV. After 15 minutes I decided to visit the front desk again to see if there were any non-smoking rooms at all and was told no. Since it was past 9pm I stayed the night since I was tired. I got up early and checked out a day early because I couldn’t stand it another day. Everything I brought into the hotel now stunk of smoke and I can to go to the store and get deodorizing spray since I had more business that day. I would rather have slept in my vehicle than in this hotel. The other guests near my room were loud, and shouting at each other. There were several guests that must be long term because there was multiple rooms with doors propped open and people going room to room. It was not a welcoming atmosphere. The front desk staff were not rude to me, but they were also not very friendly or welcoming. They got the job done but were just going through the motions, no smiles, no welcome, they seemed unhappy to be there. I won’t be staying here again.
