It was a very unpleasant experience towards the end. The salesman, Benton, was pleasant and helpful, but once in the hands of Dustin, things got stressful. Questions were not answered clearly, the final agreement changed when it came time to sign the lease contract in what felt like a "bait and switch" move. Tensions got so high that we walked out in the middle of signing. The Auto Butler was pitched to us as a compliment that accompanies the purchase and when we got home and deeply read the sales agreement it turns out that not only was there a mandatory charge of $395 for the paint protection coating that we thought was part of the package, but that an additional $500 was added to the total bill without our consent. We had to stay overnight in Chico so that we could get the orientation, since finalizing the sale happened 2 hours after closing time and everyone wanted to go home. We returned the next morning but did not get a thorough orientation to the new car, nor was the car fully cleaned car or fully fully charged. The lack of charge caused us great anxiety, since there was not enough charge for our return trip home. We spent hours on the road downloading apps and trying to figure out the charging system. If I could give zero stars, I would. We obtained the name of the general manager Mark Hitchman and the name of the owner of the franchise to make a formal complaint and intend to follow up with that in the future. There was follow up after delivery, only after I called Nathan Hitchman to request the specific names of the owner and general manager. Less than 5 minutes later, we received a call from Dustin, this time slightly more amicable, yet it was still difficult to get direct answers to my questions.

I have had 4 horrible experiences here and will never go back. The first was the condescending older male that sold me a defective vehicle. My most recent was a recall fix, scheduled 3 weeks in advance. I drive 2 hours, walk in and find 2 guys cussing behind the counter about personal issues. They ignore me for about 2 minutes then mutter about why I am there. When I give my name the guy looks it up and smiles and tells me he doesn't have the tool for the recall. He seemed pleased that he wouldn't have to work. Then tells me to wait so he can go double check. Fifteen minutes later he comes back with a stack of paperwork that he slams down in front of me as if he was now justified in not helping me. He goes on to explain how even if he had the tool he could not do it because I would have to wait 12 hours before I could drive it and with me being living 2 hours away that wouldn't work. I guess loaning me a car is just never an option here. So I asked why they would have me drive 2 hours and waste a half a tank of gas knowing they could not help. He has no answer so I say I'll have to go to Santa Rosa because this service is horrible. He laughs and says that would be great. I called him an ahole and am probably banned now, oh well. Do yourself a favor and drive the extra miles to next Volkswagen dealership if you want a Volkswagen.

I went in not thinking I would come out with a new car and walked out with a Mazda cx 5 Sam was the one helping me Dustin did all the paper work they were great so was the the rest of the team they made it a fun and enjoyable time even offering to hold my dog while I test drove the car I would highly recommend them they are great people up there thank you again I love my car.

Exceptional staff and great customer service. My wife and I had the opportunity to work with Sales Consultant Isaiah...he was absolutely stellar to us and extremely helpful. We narrowed down our search and finally decided on a Volkswagen Jetta. Finance Manager Nathan was exceptional and guided us through the financing portion of the purchase. Manager Steve and Isaiah were very helpful, and additionally, were very kind and allowed us to bring our small dog into the building as we completed paperwork with Nathan. I highly encourage anyone who is looking for a vehicle to reach out to the Chico Volkswagen team. 10/10 excellent people, vehicles, and service here in Northern CA.

Hybrids are a bad decision, you get taxed more and registration is more. Taxes the electrical system and doesnt help everoment.
