We had a choice of multiple emergency specialty vets and I called every single one and the last one I called was this vet. our dog had bladder stones and stones stuck in his ureter and he stayed overnight they pushed the stones back in as a temporary fix to see how long he would last with that our choice to go that route they had two options we went with the easier option first and are prepared for the next option if this doesn't last. they have all his records they're doing follow-up care with him their prices were amazing and the staff is excellent. They will be our new emergency vet we drive 2 hours to go there and it was absolutely worth it the communication was excellent and I can't say enough good about everybody there thank you for making a girl very happy to have her service dog back

On one of the most challenging days of our lives, we brought our little Eddie dog here. Unfortunately, he didn't make it, but the staff was very helpful and sincere. All things considered, I couldn't be happier with the staff. They definitely do their best and care about their patients and their owners.

In the midst of all my panic I forgot the lady’s name that I spoke to, but THANK YOU!! My baby girl Daphney woke me up (just before 2 am.) shaking and panting like CRAZY which is so unusual for her. I was so worried since nothing like this has ever happened with her. I searched up ER vets and called immediately, I explained the situation and with following the little directions she was able to give me over the phone without seeing my baby, she is doing much better! I appreciate you more than you know.

On Saturday 1/1 our six month old Golden Retriever began vomiting and retching. This continued throughout the day with a noted increase in lethargy. At 10P the lethargy was profound and our pups interest in food or water was non existent despite taking proactive care efforts throughout the day. In the past our vet clinic offered 24/7 emergency care services. However with the retirement of the clinic’s founder, the new owners discontinued emergency after hours services with suggestions to area 24/7 emergency vet centers. We called center closest to us and learned they lacked vet coverage after hours due to Covid and referred us to their sister agency in Newington, The Veterinary Emergency Critical Care And Cancer Center on Piscataqua Road. From our first phone call to the center, our after hours encounter with the staff and subsequent need for immediate surgical intervention until discharge, we could not have been happier with the customer service and pet focused care our Golden Retriever Received throughout his stay. The surgery was done in the early hours of January 2nd and our pup was discharged home the morning of January 3rd to recuperate. We had no fewer than 9 calls from the vet who provided care for our pup throughout the duration giving us updates on his progress. A number of folks on a variety of review sites have been critical about this type of center’s approach to dealing with the financial aspects of the care their animals receive as well as the lack of prioritization of care. This is a free standing emergency center. Their operating costs are higher than those of an normal vet practice based on the fact the provide life saving care to critically ill and injured animals along with the cost of readiness- meaning have staff in duty 24/7 regardless of the volume of patients they may care for. Like any emergency department, they triage their patients assuring the truly sickest care care first. ( As pet owners we need Freon believe our pets should always take priority. Their staff are trained to assure those with the most serious issues get in first. This is no different than when a patient arrives at a hospital emergency department- the sickest get cared for first) Was it more expensive than waiting and visiting my own vet- sure- no different than when we choose to go to an emergency department as opposed to seeing your own vet. However the pricing was reasonable and payment expectations within expectations. Accommodating, customer focused, clinically astute professionals whose communications skills were a model of all healthcare to model. Thanks you Dr Chambers and Team for helping our pup survive to enjoy life!!! With gratitude and appreciation for all you did. The Baxter’s
