If you can get a good price - this is about the cheapest option in the nyc area for a decent hotel. Downside - it’s in an absolutely terrible neighborhood and there is *a lot* of noise past even midnight sometimes. Weekends here are especially noisy. I’ve had the noise from outside be so loud that I could’ve sworn it was the person below me having a house party. The rooms themselves are fine but there’s tons of noise leakage around the window AC units and there’s no way to just have a “fan” mode for the AC for background noise. The other issue is that things in the room were non-functional or broken like lights and what not. Cleanliness was okay. There was hot water. I stayed on the 15th floor and had a nice view but the noise was kinda nuts for being so high up. It was louder than a hotel I was in Manhattan for. The doors also seem to be empty because plenty of noise comes and goes through those too. You can tell when people are talking in their room from the hallway itself and vice versa. If it wasn’t for the lack of attention put towards noise - I wouldn’t have marked it down as much since it is more economical. It feels like new construction built with the standards of hotels from the 1970s. It feels eerily similar to $40/night places I’ve had in middle of nowhere in terms of building quality. They should’ve invested more.

Jose' and the rest of the front desk could not do enough for the guests in this hotel, no matter how busy it gets in the morning. Staff was over-the-top with excellent service day after day. Hotel is spotless, sheets/bed/bathrooms/hotel rooms, all rated 10 for cleanliness and ready to help in any way possible. ***The area surrounding the hotel is scary....nestled between some rough-looking projects, but if you're taking Uber/Lyft, you'll be alright. We walked to the F train several times and it was fine.

Top notched 4 star service. It’s my first Wyndham branded hotel I ever stayed and impressed by their quality. My stay was short and it was very comfortable stay. Also, the hotel was fully renovated and refurbished with state-of-the-art interior and contemporary design. There was complementary morning breakfast. Highly recommended for any quality stay.

Don't know, but the staff is friendly & extremely helpful when I stayed there (12/29)...I would call to find out.
You do get a nice view of Astoria, but not Manhattan skyline. Were on 16th floor. The construction has no affect. Hope this helps.
I imagine that there is an option but it is worth paying the fee with breakfast.
Yes, it is
