I cannot say enough about Sherrill House! My auntie-mom, Dorothy "Tanté" DuVal Certain, lived very comfortably for five years in her sun-filled room overlooking Huntington Avenue. After searching for some time for the best facility in the region, once my husband and I could no longer accommodate her needs at home, we found the only place with full-time music director on staff. This was important as music had always been an important part of Tanté's life, from playing organ at her father's church to teaching all his grandkids, myself included, to play piano. She thrived there until the eve of her 106th birthday, when she made her peaceful transition surrounded by the caring staff and delightful residents that have become our extended family. I now enjoy fond memories, including numerous family gatherings in Sherrill House's gorgeous Great Room, lunching and lounging outside on the beautiful terrace, and proudly enjoying Tanté's solos at the annual holiday concert (see photo following the 2015 performance). Sherrill House, I hope you are there for me if/when I require some of your special brand of TLC.

Some of the staff were rude to my father when he stayed here. He asked for a chair to sit in so that he could get out of bed and one of the staff acted as if getting him a chair to sit in was a huge burden, even though the point of him being here was to improve his physical mobility. The pca was also supposed to cut his food for him into manageable pieces but left his food in very large pieces that were difficult for him to eat. Nursing staff that I met was very nice. The doctor seemed very rushed when assessing my father, did not wait for him to answer completely. Would not recommend this rehab and definitely would not want my father to come here again.

My vote for employee of the week goes to Fred on 2nd floor. Fred made my stay mush more bearable making sure I got coffee every morning as soon as it was available Thanks Fred for going beyond the call of duty. You made this patient a little more comfortable
