Visiting family in the area. I made a last minute tee time and brought my pre-teen daughter along as a ride along. The staff was super nice (5 stars). The course had some spots that could use some work, but the price and friendly service made the overall experience great. The pace of play was great. To put this into context, i am a 29 handicap. While, i am far from a scratch golfer, I have certainly played at courses in better shape. However, the laid back atmosphere and friendly service made for a comfortable outing with my daughter. i would definitely recommend and play again when I am in the area.

We will not be golfing at Lakeside ever again after the way we were treated this last time. I’ve been going to lake side for over 3 years now and have always had a great time. While we were playing the GM Chris came out and said that he had received calls that we were holding up play which was not true we were keeping pace with the group in front of us and if a smaller group approached we let them play through, however he did not want to hear any of what we had to say. The second time he came out to check he started screaming at us telling us that our group needed to split up or leave the course. When we tried to explain to him that we were not holding anyone up he continued to yell at us and told us to “get off my course if you’re not going to listen to me”. If I could leave 0 stars I would. I will never play this course again as long as he is there. As someone who was out to have a good time this totally ruined our groups day and even if we were causing problems the way he handled the situation and spoke with us was completely rude and unnecessary.

Course is nice. Needs some work around the greens there are some dirt patches. The only negative is there is one employee who never seems to get there on time in the morning. I can’t ever hit balls before my tee time. Everyone in my group is a member so they can go out without him there but they have to wait on me because I have not pre paid. This puts a damper on all of us. I play there at least twice a week sometimes three. His attitude could use an adjustment.

Course is in decent shape it definitely needs some work a lot of sparse areas in the fairways in around the greens. Greens are pretty soft and wet right now so the ball will hold but they putt fairly decent. With some general maintenance on playing conditions this course would be very nice.
