If you're looking for a good old fashioned bar, this is the place! Perfect place, the bartender (Pete, I think) was perfect, the jazz music playing was perfect, the beer was perfect! Nothing fancy, just a great bar!

Absolutely incredible bar when the ND ultimate frisbee folk are in town for Whitesmoke, otherwise good live music for punk bands. They are pro-detonator. It’s important to note this place has outlasted several establishments on the block, also just tell the bartender you know Hoffman and you’re set.
Higher Sound
Awesome late night downtown South Bend drinking establishment. Cheapest drinks in SB, friendliest bartenders, and craziest crowd. Tuesday is Open Mic night, which draws in great local talent from around the area. Always a great time.

Bartenders wear masks and patrons are required to wear them unless seated. With limited staff it is a challenging task to police all patrons while they move around the space so we rely heavily on patrons to act responsibly. Fortunately we have a wonderful, supportive client base who have been very understanding and responsible during these challenging times. That being said we are taking all the appropriate precautions to keep eveyone safe.
