As an early childhood educator for 30 years, I must say that this place is incredible. It was designed by someone who understands children. There are numerous areas for dramatic play, gross and fine motor exploration and cognitive stimulation and it is just FUN! Every time I take my grandson he discovers another area to captivate him. Wonderful!

The Holyoke Children's museum is a really great museum for children around the ages of 2-6, but older kids can have fun too. Highlights include - large climbing structure, firetruck and ambulance, the projected images that children can draw their own to be scanned onto the screen, water table, store fronts with plastic food, light machine, air machine with scarves, gears, percussion and much more. There's also a jungle gym and splash pad right outside and tables up stairs to eat at if you bring lunch. You can easily spend hours there.

I brought my 3 kiddos during school vacation week. It was not crowded at all due to their reservation system. My kids had a great time and especially enjoyed the climbing area. It was incredibly reasonably priced. I will definitely be back.

The Holyoke Children's Museum is a staple within the city, and is simply a great, fun, and entertaining place to bring young children. The museum is located in the lower lever of the building, you an take the elevator or stairs down. The cost for children and adults is $8 each, $5 for seniors, and free to children 1 year or younger. If you live in the area the best value is a yearly pass. There are many different play areas which include a make believe restaurant, grocery store, dog grooming truck, large bubble making area, flowing water area with boats, two story climbing and crawling area, shadow room, hand puppet theater, pneumatic tube area, toddler play area, and many many more. Everything is geared towards children's playing, learning, and role playing. There are two large birthday rooms with refrigerators, tables, and chairs. One is animal themed, and the other is barnyard themed. The Children's Museum has a lot to offer young children, and no matter how many times I bring my own children they never get tired or bored of it.

We strongly encourage adults to play with their kids in our Museum! There are lots of activities that families can do together. We do require that all adults visiting our Museum are accompanying children, and all children are accompanied by an adult.
