We recently sent our 1 1/2 year old puppy Joey here to get trained. I honestly don’t even have the words to describe how amazing the staff was. There are constantly photos being upload of your dog. They treated him like their own family, it was amazing and I was beyond pleased. We then went there after the two weeks of board and train for our own training. It was amazing how patient they were with us and helped us to better understand our dog in order to get the best out of him. We are so satisfied with him and just glad that he is such a different dog. They truly helped him come out of his shell. I could also just see the love he had for Ari and all the people there that it made me feel a million times better about my decision. We will totally board him there in the future as well!

Fantastic experience from beginning to the end, our Beagle was absolutely adorable and loving, just very aggressive and complete misery to walk with heaving pulling, barking and growling at everything in sight, two weeks at training Cosme back a completely changed, easy to walk and in the house. Atlantic K9 did a great job in training our 18 month old rescue dog. He was a bit challenging when we adopted him - he pulled on the leash, jumped up, would not come when called, and in general did not follow our commands. Kathleen was very professional and explained her philosophy well during our phone conversation. We scheduled the boot camp while we would be away on vacation and couldn't bring him with us, so the 2 weeks flew by. Though expensive, boot camp was a great investment in having a well trained, happy, family dog. The follow up lessons with Jenny (one at at the facility and one at our home) taught us how to continue his training. He is doing great and we are very happy with his progress. I strongly recommend Atlantic K9.

My dog began behaving aggressively about the time she turned 2. She was a rescue and I do not know much about her history before she came to us at 6 months. I was worried I'd have to keep my dog muzzled and always on a leash because of her behavior which was scaring me and the runners and cyclists she had begun trying to chase and terrify. She has an extremely high energy level and needs to run wild in the woods or beach every day to be happy and good. Anyway I had heard about Kathleen and Atlantic K9 training through two local dog friends and I signed my dog up for 2 weeks of bootcamp with Kathleen. My husband was nervous and upset because of the thought of negative reinforcement scared him. Long story short my dog came home after two weeks happy and under my voice control (after my lesson with Kathleen) . I can walk her easily on leash now and I can let her run free with me keeping her close and under voice control now. I can't tell you how good and friendly she now behaves towards strangers when I'm out and about with her. Kathleen and her trainers saved our dog from a very different kind of life than the one she has now. Thank you Kathleen!
