We had the pleasure of working with Jolyne with our German Shepherd puppy (8M), Rox. Before bringing Rox to Central Florida K9 for the rehabilitation program, Rox was incredibly reactive to other animals (mainly dogs) and somewhat reactive to people. During our initial consultation, Jolyne was extremely diligent in addressing our questions and concerns in a manner that was comforting and reassuring. Every concern we had was written down and was worked on during Rox' 35 day stay at Central Florida K9. During this time, Jolyne communicated nearly daily regarding Rox' progress, setbacks, and any information she felt was important. She was also incredibly quick to answer any questions we had via text message and we never had a second where we worried about Rox' well being while staying at Central Florida K9's facility. On pick-up day, we went through a lengthy PowerPoint filled with useful information regarding commands, food, behaviors, proper prong collar procedures, and so much more. We were also provided a packet filled with information about training and other important things every dog owner should now. We were instructed privately on how to properly use a prong collar and were then reunited with Rox. We spent nearly two hours with Jolyne on pick-up day practicing commands, learning corrections, and just getting comfortable with the whole process. During the rehabilitation program, Rox learned "sit," "stay," "heel," "place," "down," "let's go," and the most important, "leave it." He was also trained to be neutral to dogs and other people, curbing his reactivity completely aside from a few moments of normal puppy-esk frustration. We are now able to take Rox into public places without the worry of self-injury from being pulled or tugged. Rox has had many amazing outings both during his stay at Central Florida K9 and following his graduation from the rehabilitation program. We can take Rox to Downtown Mount Dora during busy times, Lowe's, and even the pet store! Jolyne made our family's dreams come true and we cannot be more grateful. Jolyne has continued to keep contact with us and has even worked with us privately on our own anxieties with Rox and getting comfortable with being in public with him. Jolyne and Central Florida K9 has changed our lives in terms of our puppy's quality of life and our family's ability to enjoy time with Rox outside of our home. If you are looking to curb inappropriate behaviors in your dog such as reactivity, Central Florida K9 is the best there is! Thank you for everything, Jolyne and the Central Florida K9 team! - The Stesney Family

LET ME JUST SAY AMAZING! My sweet babygirl Ginger went into Rehab with Rina and Joylene with agression, fear, anxiety and all the neevousness you could think of and came back a less anxious, ready for me to take ownership and sweetest pup ever and it was hands down the best decision I have ever made because I know she needed help beyond what I could provide for her myself. Rina was the most caring yet stern trainer Ginger needed. The bond they created is truly beautiful and it makes me happy to know that she was able to do that with her because it meant the training sessions were very productive for Ginger. Rina was very communicative with me throughout the whole process, when she handed her off back to me she was very detailed, very professional and very hands on, but even now that Ginger is home she is still very involved and very ready to have her complimentary one on one sessions with Ginger. Words cannot express my gratitude! The whole Central K9 Team thank you! but the most wonderful and loving thank you to Rina. ❤️

We rescued a 3 year old lab that the prior owners were willing to put down due to aggression as the dog had been abused by its first owner by having its leg broken. Rina and her assistant Jolene worked with our amazing dog and gave her the chance to have a life. She is a different dog. She is wary of strangers but it can now be managed in a healthy way for her and our family. I think they are wonder workers. I wish these two would work on humans! The world would surely be better! Thank you both for helping to transform this severely traumatized pup! We love you guys and know that we will be continuing with your refresher tune ups for not only our pup but for us as well. By the way, the constant communication and pictures and videos and the training sessions after our dog’s stay was reassuring, informative and comforting for those of us that can’t think like a dog. Your perceptiveness and patience with our dog and us in explaining how our dog thinks and acts was invaluable. Thank you both again! A remarkable team! Robin and Johnny

I promise you won’t regret it. My dog Scooby was the sweetest and goofiest pup, but began to show aggression over throw up and toys after the age of 1. Little did we know we were going about it all wrong. Thanks to Rina she has completely transformed our dog to listen - NOT JUST AT HOME - in public areas with distractions everywhere. Rina dedicated tremendous time and effort to identify his behavior triggers. He thought he was the leader of our family, and now he is not only confident, but so are we in leading him and with this change so much has already changed. To have to repeat over and over and be dismissed by my dog to now on command he listens is truly a miracle. Rina is a blessing and will not give up on your dog - she will do all she can to ensure your dog and your family can live happily. No matter how minor or major, send your dog here and ask for Rina right away. She is the absolute best!

Questions & Answers

How much is it to board and train

Susan Kruger | Sep 2, 2021
Central Florida K9 | Sep 2, 2021

Hi Susan! Board and train packages are customized and the price varies depending on the dog, the type and the length of training needed. Training begins with an evaluation where you bring your dog in to meet with a trainer and discuss your and your dog's needs. The trainer will then be able to give you an estimate for the cost and length of training. The evaluation is $50 and goes toward the price of the board and train. Give us a call to schedule an evaluation or answer any more questions. 407-926-8100

I don't think they sell puppies, they are a training facility and ocassionally sell adult trained dogs (police, military and family protection) we are planning on breeding our German Shepperd pup in the future (with pedigree trained at CFLK9) but this will probably be in 6 months.
