The fungus among us... saw a lot of newt mushrooms 🍄 Nice hike next to the river. Cooler over much of the the trail nice scenery the river looked redish brown. We didn't see any deer but I think we smelled some musk from the boys. Saw a small black 🐍 snake and lots of insects and arachnids. A nice little spot with some real nice homes surrounding the preserve.

It is a awesome place to bring your family and friends take photos. It is a dog friendly Park beautiful oak trees a lot of shade for hiking you will not be disappointed there is a restroom there on the premises. It's probably one of the best parks I've been in in a while.

So pretty! The birds are very voisterous. At first felt the trails were very well marked, then came to a void...no worries found my way out. When I did I was met with a pleasant surprise! Dogs! Trail is for walking, biking and horsetail. There is a toilet ( always a must!) There are benches along the paths and a great mix of sun and shade.

Supposedly it closes at dusk. The trails can get flooded pretty bad so it could have been closed for that reason. Trails are not paved
Yes lots of bike trails. A couple that are shared trails with horses.
There is nothing paved. So, it'll depend on the capacity of the person. It's a real taste of Florida. You'll see a variety of wildlife , including gators, pigs, deer, and birds. I hope you're able to visit there.

Nope. Walking, biking, and horses.
There are alligators in the creek. I wouldn't if I were you
I paid around $50. Call Sarasota parks and rec. They don't do online reservations for this park
It's pretty rustic. There is a small, non-refrigerated drinking fountain. There is a single pit toilet, no sewer or septic. And there are no electrical outlets.
As many times as I've been there, I've never seen anyone use a metal detector. I don't think there are any signs saying you can't tho.
The park is currently closed (entrance gate is locked) but you can park on the side of the road and walk in..it is pretty muddy though
Actually there is a large primitive campsite on the east side of the creek. Call Sarasota County 941.861.5000 to make reservations.
No. Sorry.
