My family and I are very happy with this place. We are always recommending it to our friends, because it is a wonderful place to live.

Pros: Amenities: I like the in-unit laundry and gym / pool. Price: not bad for what we get Cons: We did not get to see our actual unit or even the dimensions prior to move-in. When we arrived, found out that our unit has a fireplace (which, mind you, does not function and still has not been fixed). I think this is driving up our gas bill because there's no way to turn the "starter" off so it's always a bit on. And, it takes up precious wall space that we were planning on using, which limits the way we could arrange our living room. In the first month of living here, three packages have gone missing. Once, there was a neighbor in the elevator who had picked up her packages, and told us specifically that she saw ours by the front door. When we went a few hours later to pick it up, it was gone. I asked MULTIPLE times, and they said nothing could be done. No signs, no e-mails to residents. They suggested I file a police report, which I did, and still told me there was absolutely nothing they were going to do. I feel this is a huge safety concern that was not taken seriously. We still do not have a door sign with our number on it, even though we requested a replacement at move-in.

BEWARE OF SIGNING LEASE WITH INWOOD WEST. Read below, heads up, it’s long. We lived at Inwood West from 2018 until 2022 in two units, 3122 and 6211. Ever since our move to Inwood West, we had nothing but an unsafe, unsanitary, and all-around unpleasant experience. To our detriment, we have been extremely flexible to all issues that occurred. I am not usually one to post reviews but I feel compelled to warn people of leasing here. I wish I had known prior to moving there. For more details on our experience and some examples of Inwood’s atrocious service - the following is a list, including, but not limited to, some of the issues we experienced: 1. Apt 3122 was given to us in an extremely unsanitary condition. We were told that professional cleaners conducted deep cleaning prior to our move. However, apartment 3122 was given to us as though minimal cleaning was done. For one, the fridge had food stains and hair stuck in between the rails. I had to disassemble all the components inside the fridge to be able to clean it out properly. Second, the oven had pork chops gunk all over the bottom tray. As a result, upon turning the oven on for the first time, it smoked out the whole apartment forcing us to leave the apartment for a few hours to allow the apartment to air out. The apartment reeked of pork chops for several days. 2. The most disturbing problem was the gas leak in October 2021 resulting in our living conditions to be unsafe and inhabitable. Due to the maintenance team's negligence when installing the oven, we had a gas leak that spread across the whole apartment and the building. We had our 3-week-old baby in the apartment. When the maintenance representative showed up, unbeknownst to us, he closed the wrong valve, which resulted in a worse leak into the apartment and the building. When the maintenance representative was attending to the gas leak, who is supposedly the professional, he did not advise us to call National Grid to get this resolved. Rather, he left the apartment without much follow-up, which prompted me to escalate this to the community manager, Anthony. Rather than express his concern for our safety and work to resolve the gas leak, Anthony condescendingly attempted to shift responsibility onto us. Anthony did not consider his maintenance team's negligence in not mentioning that we should call National Grid, nor their negligence in installing the oven correctly from the start. National Grid finally showed up and shut the gas off. We were then forced to spend 4 days without any heat, hot water, or usage from the oven with a newborn. This emergency could have and should have been resolved in a much quicker fashion if we had a representative from Inwood West manage all the contractors from the time the gas leak occurred in the early morning. The lack of action and concern from Inwood West for the safety of infants and their tenants is alarming and reprehensible. We just recently moved out and, as always, we ensured that we left the apartment cleaner than the way we received it. We have fulfilled our duties as tenants, despite Inwood not fulfilling their duties as landlords. Inwood West not taking responsibility for their actions has been a pattern through our tenancy. This is briefly demonstrated with their illegal withholding of our deposit to replace the carpet at our expense. Pictures were provided to try and justify their claim that the carpets had some stains, when the pictures clearly showed no proof of stains whatsoever. Inwood West's attempt to replace the carpet at our expense based on these pictures is comical to say the least. Further, the invoice that was shared for the carpet replacement shows an amount charged at $717.75 while Inwood West is charging us $1,000. This is yet another demonstration of Inwood West's predatory nature towards their tenants. Once again, stay away at all costs. There are many other apartment complexes around the area that would be a much better choice. The character limit forced me to exclude other examples, but I hope this is enough to help!

Property is well taken care of, including quick and clear response to snow removal. Management team works to maintain the property and cares about us as tenants. We very much like our apartment. It is working well for us.
