Anyone that ranked this place lower than 4 stars is insane! Great service, excellent food!! We ordered the sampler, honey chipotle shrimps, chicken and shrimp fajitas, the tacos el pastor and the Birria tacos. Everything was excellent. Big props for those freshly made soft tacos prepared in front of guests. I’ll be back thank you so much.

Find a better place! Only reason we came here was due to it being next to our hotel. The PROS: margarita was good, app was good. The CONS: 3 entrees were ordered....a classic steak burrito (came out as a ground beef one with half of it being folded tortilla. Returned it for correct one, still half of it being the folded part of the tortilla). Tacos came out and I'm sure (by the pic) you could see why I wasn't happy with that meal. The last meal was a healthier choice chicken fajita (it didn't have rice)...not really the best looking. Asked for corn tortillas with it, the container came out, opened it up and it was flour tortillas. Told the waitress and she said they were corn, opened them up to show her and she continued to say that she grabbed them and they were flour! I'm sure from the look on my face, she decided to take them back for the correct ones. She DID come back and apologize for the mistake.

Great food and service. As well as great drinks. It appears that they recently vamped up their menu with new items. Fajitas are delicious.

It’s not the best food, not the best drinks, but the best service. The corn is probably canned and the guacamole didn’t have cilantro or lime- it would be better if they use fresh ingredients and possibly some authentic Mexican recipes

Not per se. I order various vegan sides, including black beans without cheese on top (very good), flour tortillas, pickled jalapenos, guacamole, rice (there may be two types, so ask), pico de gallo, and the green sauce. I also order sour cream. The corn chips (excellent, cooked alone in vegetable oil) and salsa are vegan. I ask for a big oval plate (very hot, to keep things warm), and make my own "flat taco"; a tortilla on the bottom, the fillings, a top tortilla, then the sauce. There may be other vegan sides, such as peppers, onions, etc., but they may be cooked on a grill where meat is cooked (ask).
They take the COVID-19 safety very seriously.
Border cafe doesn't have a delivery service that I'm aware of. They may have a partnership through GrubHub, or something like that, but don't know for certain.

Saugus Route 1. There's also another location in Harvard Square in Cambridge.
