I purchased a transmission for a 2007 Buick Lucerne and was told it had 80k miles on it, it was tested and in perfect working order. I flushed the converter, replaced the input shaft seal and both output seals and installed the transmission. At this time, I went to change the filter and pan gasket ( rolling the transmission over to check that first is not always the best of ideas, if there were contaminants in the pan, it would be all over the valve body after rolling it over), I lowered the pan flat to check for debris, I found about 3 lbs worth of ground steel. The transmission was also locked. I couldn't even push it out of the way of the lift, I had to wheel lift it. The transmission was also sent with my pickup person full of fluid causing fluid to spill all over the deliver truck. I called them to tell them of the issue and they spoke with empathy and promised to make this situation good and get me another transmission. I was promised a return call within an hr, I waited 24hr's to give them a chance to do the right thing before calling them and they played the transfer me around game that landed me in voicemail. I left a friendly reminder message and still haven't received a return call and we are currently at 3 days. If you plan on buying used parts, I recommend you look elsewhere. No idea how they got so many 5 star reviews. I had a horrible experience with them. I searched all over for a transmission for my vehicle. they had one for a real low price. I guess what I paid for. They first shipped me the wrong transmission. Owned up to them, but of course would not send me the correct transmission without sending them a second payment. I understand money is tight for everyone during this time but they should right a wrong. So I sent them a second payment, mind you I was the one that set up the shipping because I lived close to 3 hours away. Once the second transmission arrived and my mechanic ready to do the swap, they saw that the transmission had been stripped of internals. All the necessary components needed to use the transmission was stripped out. I obviously did not want to even talk to John's anymore. Any future potential customer should do this, definitely pay them via Paypal. I did, and filed claims for both payments and Paypal sided with me. Of course I'm out the 2 shipping fees so I doubt John's will reimburse me for that. Real horrible way to run a business. If they are going to list something, at least disclose it if its actual parts and not an entire unit. If Google allowed me to rate this place lower than 1 star, I would.

Have multiple cars and will help you take out whatever part you are looking for, for a good price.
