My parent went there to change the name of social security card. We have completed form online and processed only 7 mints. The gentlemen my mom spoke with were polite and professional (at window 5 on June 1, 2022). Please note that to flextime as you might get line in 45 - 60 mints, the rest is fine.

I mailed out paperwork to get my baby’s SSN. I still have not gotten it and I mailed the stuff out weeks ago. I try calling but it doesn’t ring and than it says my call can’t be complete every time. How am I supposed to file taxes if I don’t have her card?!?!? How unprofessional!!

Absolutely ridiculous!!! The management there should be ashamed of themselves!!!! COVID or not there is no excuse!! I am so sick of people blaming their inefficiencies on COVID at this point in time! After calling the 1-866 number many times no one answers and after waiting several minutes it just hangs up. LAZY LAZY LAZY! I am so sick of this! My poor 90 year old father can't even get a SS replacement card because you can't manage to do you job!!! FIX THIS PLEASE.

Have been on hold for a total of 80 minutes this morning to check on my name change application for a replacement card. The first time I called I was on hold for forty minutes and then the service hung up on me saying to try again later. If you’re not taking in person appointments please answer the phone - we’re looking to you for help!

No you do not, Just bring I.D. and a birth certificate and you can get your card free
Whats the Schenectady office phone number?
I.d. proof of address, birth certificate
November
Yes, but you can also do the appeal online at SocialSecurity.gov. My advice would be to do neither without talking to a Social Security attorney. They will not charge you unless you win your appeal and even then will only take 25% of what you are owed by SSA.
Go to the post office for address change. Or for the change of address call social sec 800 number
I'm not sure maybe some other form of ID might work. If that doesn't work out try requesting one by mail.
Yes
Appointment
No not until the new year
Call your Social Security office have all the paperwork like they Social Security number they full name date of birth the address they live at and let them know that they past
Nope you can't you have to call repeatedly until someone answers and then they'll tell you what you need to do, I had better luck reaching the Albany office
No they wont even let you in the building they said to call and if you get an answer then you may schedule an appointment... SMDH.
You should probably call Social Security to ask a question like that.
To replace your minor's child social security card: certificate of birth as proof you're one of the parents registered by vital statistics bureau within state of birth. If your child is over 15 yo, your child has to be present during the SSA visit. 🤗🤗🤗 Am I right SSA? Indeed
You don't need...walk in process. Get a number, complete an application and make sure you will have your id, birth certificate or passport or whatever status you have as proof and identification
Don't know. Would have to ask how to go about doing it
😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂 Questions sounds like copied and pasted from web site with little bit of spicy accent.🤩🤩🤩🤩🤩 Your options are if you have questions: -Call 800 number , wait and ask. -Visit local branch, wait and ask. There's no such a good time or waiting time...unless you have scheduled appointment. Be prepared to wait 1-6 hours depending on the volume of customers. 😍😍😍😍 🤣🤣🤣 we appreciate your patience and thank you for waiting...even your question might not be resolved right away and you have to wait 3-4 years or maybe longer.
They r open from 9am-12pm
U asking can u get an award letter
You will need his birth certificate, his current Social Security card, and whatever legal document changed this name, if applicable
Usually get answer in,a about 4 months
If you call the national# easily found on google, they'll route you to the office you want or give you the number.
I'm not sure if you can get medicare without applying for Ssi or Ssd. You can call the office or go check online.
They will definitely send you an "approval" letter if you're approved. After which you have to wait about 8 months for benefits to start from time of approval. You wait even longer for Medicare, 1year if i remember right. I had all proof of severe permanent injury needed and they still denied me the first time but I was persistent and just re filed my same "medical-evidence" and was approved. You don't need a lawyer if you have proof, it's that simple so don't waste your money.
I think they do make appointments. But if you show up early you can get in and quickly. I have to go there a lot... And it's never for long. You just need to have all your stuff ready and show up early. I think they open at 9 but you can show up at 830 and sign in.
It's easier to just walk in
Yes you do
You only have to pay if you make over a certain amount if you go to the Social Security office they will let you know
