Awful experience. Can't get through to anyone on the phone - everything is automated and will hang up on you if call volume is "too high" - once you get through to someone they are incredibly rude. I was trying to clarify a situation with a rep - I was continuously interrupted and spoken over, and then hung up on when I asked if I could finish my question. Wait times for any kind of payment are 6-8 weeks. I've been in the workforce for over 20 years and the one time I need the benefits I've been paying into, this is the outcome. Unreal. NYS Dept of Labor, DO BETTER! HIRE BETTER! **Edit - called back and connected with another rep - she was very nice and helpful, Apologized for the previous reps behavior, and got me where I needed to go**

I wish I could give it no stars. The NYSDL needs a complete overhaul! What happened to the days when you could actually call and someone would pick up saying hello and could actually look up requested information even print checks lol The 3 minutes you spend listening to a prerecorded information just to have to press 99 options to maybe get to a person or to be told they are busy and try you call back later!!! or just to get poor person on the line who cant provide you with the information needed and severely over worked ! Not to mention the hour you spend on hold just to get that poor person. This system is horrible! Stop with pre recordings and have someone pick up

Going on 3 months since opening my claim. NO PAY, unable to contact ANYONE. Sent a letter packet will all necessary paperworks...nothing. Got a fraud notice when I completed my ID.Me. Within 2 days I had a letter. Someone/something works at the DOL. Except paying people their benefits
