Cancelled my appointment 15 mins before it was scheduled. After I worked a 13 hour shift and sleep in my car for 2 hours to avoid driving 45 mins home. This is how they do business.

When I was diagnosed in 2012 I was referred here and assigned a case worker. I had a rough go at it when it came to medical care. 2days before starting meds I had an emergency appendectomy and even though I asked about post surgery antibiotics I was given none and ended up with sepsis and almost died. Then in pre-op for another surgery I was interrogated by my anesthesiologist about my status in a room full of strangers. I spoke to my case worker Angela Dupke about this and shortly thereafter received a call from her saying that the system at Francis House will randomly pull up names in a lottery of sorts and that those people will need to find different representation and that unfortunately my name came up and was told good luck with not even a referral. I am now finding out that was a lie. I went to the Florida Dept of heath for help in this situation and they have me one months worth of meds. They told me that I would need to get my eligibility done and so i asked where? The Francis house I was told. Where I had just been lied to about a lottery that does not exist all because Angela Dupke didn't want to work with me and was too lazy to transfer me to another worker. Because of her I have been getting my meds on the streets and have very little faith left in this system. And the really sad thing is that my sister who died from AIDS in 1992 knew Ryan White personally and Jeanie his mom had certian wishes for the fund she started for her son that was it was to help anybody who had HIV any race any sexual orientation drug abusers anybody with the disease. Not to have people like Angela Dupke decide that they could pick and choose who received help and who didn't. She has no business being in social services period.
