I have prepaid service I drop about $50 every two weeks on it. Never any issues and if I forget, and it gets cut off, it’s back on in less than 5 mins. I live in Hudson. Never have issues. One time the office cut my apt off by mistake instead of the adjacent apt. Withlacooch had it fixed in a jiffy. I don’t work there I’m just saying. I’ve never had issues with any electric company unless I let me bill get out of hand and can’t pay it.

This is hands down the WORST electric company I’ve ever had. Always charging you 34$ for customer fee Always adding MORE deposit as the bill gets higher and higher and now they raised the costs. These people will nickel and dime you every step of the way and have HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE They should be shut down and sued for their neglect and extortion

Why is this company so god-awful it’s because they have a monopoly and we have no other choice. I have 848 credit score and they still charge me $300 to connect service outlandish and despicable, taking advantage of customers when they know customers have no other choice

I've had two major issues with them, not that they care or will change anything, but always ask for employee names and any additional information they can give you. 1) I had a mobile home demolished and called to have the lines pulled back so we could complete the permits. I was told it would be done the next day, so I scheduled the final inspection with county 2 days out. WREC never sent anyone out, so not only did I have to pay $45 to have a re-inspection which held up work on the property, they denied that I ever called. They are extremely quick to blame customers. 2) I had sold one of my houses and called for them to turn the electric off. Imagine my surprise when I returned to my home the next evening to find no power in my own home. Not at all sure how they managed to mess that up so badly but they went out to my house (which is the mailing address for 3 properties I pay for, not sure how that wasn't a red flag to them) instead of the sold property. I also asked for them to reimburse me for the days the intended property was still in my name. It's a month later and I'm currently on hold because even though they promised they reimbursed me, it was never done.

There has people been working out here all day. But then they all diaappeared and now the outtage map keeps going back up as to how many people lost power. UGH.

They are estimating between 7-10 days to get power restored to everybody. They have 140k people without power. You can check for updates on their Facebook page.
