Went to Duette preserve June 12. Also went to Duette Headwaters. Headwaters trails were overgrown. No recent maintenance. Preserve was the same. Will try Preserve again in the winter with bicycle.

I have been in these woods ever since I was old enough to carry a gun. Long befor the County took it over, It belonged to a Man that I new the property is the Watershed for Manatee County, I pray that is stays in as much, a natural state as possible. I love this land like I said been here a long time. Keep up the Conservation Efforts so that our Childens, Childern will still have places like this to go. May God Bless the US and Keep as much Natural Habita and Large Pockets of LAND for the other living populationso they can survie. The population in a whole does not destory our Lands. We need the open spaces as much as the animals do. BE FREE TO LIVE AS GOD INTENDED. WE ARE AT THE TOP OF THE FOOD CHAIN. THESE ANIMALS ARE HERE FOR US TO MAKE USE OF, TOO MANY PEOPLE WILL NOT KNOW HOW TO SURVIE IF WE HAVE A MAJOR FALL OUT. BEST IF YOU START TO LEARN NOW THE REASONS FOR CONSERVATION AND WHAT THE HUNTING COMMUNITY DOES TO HELP ; YOU THE NON HUNTERS. TO KEEP ENJOYING THE MEAT YOU GET FROM PUBLIX

Yes, the annual pass allows vehicle access outside of Saturday mornings. Pass holders must contact the Check Station at least 2 days before their visit to get the current gate combination.
Seems like only saturdays 11:30 to 2:30 vehicle access. Which is a bummer. I wonder if the annual pass gives you access outside of those hours.
I believe its around June if I remember right!
It is a watershed and part of the Florida birding trail. During certain times of the year there are hunts for deer, hogs, and small game. Hiking and horseback riding are some of the other activities. There is even primitive camping.
