What a great wildlife preserve, when you enter you'll find picnic tables, restrooms and info about hunting and diving at the Springs... Lots of trails, more picnic areas, but you have to be ture the trails to find them... Park is very clean... Careful, lots of horseflies in some spots where there is standing water...

Nice place to walk around. See various habitats from sand scrub to full blown swamp. Bring insect repellent if it's warm out. Entrance fee is 5 dollars for a car, but exempt if 65 or over. Self service pay station.

Weeki Wachee is my absolute favorite River in Florida. Every time I go there I see manatees! This is a great place to take your family, the water is crystal clear and 72 degrees year-round

A very beautiful and peaceful place to get away for a while. The pictures don't show how beautiful it really is. There's 3 very old little bridges that you cross over, lots of different dirt trails that are named so you won't lose your way. At the end is the famous Eagles Nest, the sink that divers come from everywhere to dive in. The Ranger at the front entrance was very nice and helpful.

I have only seen ît busy on certain holidays or special occasions. Usually no matter what is taking place, you can find a room to join in and have a great time. Usually everyone includes you in the happenings, or you can choose to stay to yourself. It's a very neat area to go-to, if you enjoy a laid back social place. Everyone usually pitches in to keep the area clean. Usually you clean your things up, and if you see trash or something someone else has left you throw it all away. If your open minded, and like having a good time you'll enjoy your visit!
The best trails are by boat, but afford hiking during hunting season!
Enter reserve from Commercial Way (19) and follow the Distillery signs to Rattlesnake Camp Rd take that to Three Bridge Road follow that (north) until you see the sign for scuba, you walk the trail back a quarter mile to the spring cave entrance. You need a permit to dive. 28.633527,-82.590525
No Bigfoot. But there has been spottings of the Florida Skunk Ape and the Chupacabra!!
The main trail is a gravel road and yes there are side trails to go down.
Yes it's fishing out there I don't know why people say you can't finish there's no reason why you can't fish sweetheart go ahead and do all you want
Wma permit and deer or turkey permit and of course your hunting license
They haven't yet disturbed the town but they did cut a trail to it. Hoping they leave it
They are widening hwy 19 to 3 lanes each way
Muddy
Yes... But I don't think inside the WMA itself I think there's another access point to chassahowitzka up Cortez boulevard?? Or maybe north of the entrance itself..
What up
Only on the small game area on the east side of us19
Yes drive and walk
Yes, as long as it's on a leash because they are kids running around and in the background you hear guns gping off and it might startle anyone or pets.
Any Where in chasss is a good place . always been a great place to fish
Best answer i have, would be from the Indian tribe that lived in the areas... No real other information I can find
Yes you can rent a kayak and they'll give you a map. It's about 45 min paddle from the dock to "the crack"
Dogs are allowed on property for purposes other than hunting but must be under physical restraint at all times. I wouldn't take my dog for recreational purposes during hunting season. Hunting dogs are allowed during different seasons but must be leashed when tracking.
Entry is $ 3:00 person or $6.00 per vehicle.. it is the woods! With other hunters, but with the proper hunting license, it is legal
There is no camping of any kind here
I guess you drive to fast. Plenty of water out here if you stop and explore
