Can't say the care and attention my father got. He died in 2018 but the lighthouse will always have a special spot in my heart. Faye Hartman

This is the new location for the Lighthouse for the Visually Impaired and Blind. I have been honored to have attended a few professional events at this organization and have been impressed each time. Not only is the building aesthetically pleasing, it is well-run by caring staff who wish to do their best to serve their clients. I highly recommend the Lighthouse to anyone needing their services.

Hello Kathie, volunteers help us in many ways. Visit https://www.lvib.org/get-involved/volunteer/ to learn about volunteering at the Lighthouse.
Hi there, the Lighthouse is committed to client choice. While we do have to follow the guidelines laid out by our state contract, we are happy to provide training to those who do not have work related goals. Please call us at 727-815-0303 and we can help you through the process.
Hello Kathie, we are a nonprofit training facility for people who are visually impaired and blind. We sell low vision aids that help them live more independently. To support workers who are visually impaired and blind, we also sell batteries and trash can liners to the public, and our young entrepreneurs sell branded merchandise. For more information, please visit https://www.lvib.org/lvib-stores/ or call 727-815-0303. Thank you.
Thanks for asking. We provide training services to people living in Pasco, Hernando, and Citrus, who provide us with medical verification of vision impairment. Please visit these links for specifics: http://www.lvib.org/eligibility/ and http://www.lvib.org/programs/about-vision-impairment/#vision. We also have low vision stores where people without medical verification can purchase assistive devices. Hope this helps.
